West River Family Dental offers Brattleboro and surrounding Vermont communities access to reliable, advanced dental care in a state-of-the-art environment. We keep things down-to-earth at West River Family Dental; we believe in great value, excellent dental care, and building friendly relationships with all of our patients.

Our dental technology includes digital X-rays, digital impressions, and soft-tissue lasers. Digital X-rays are a popular option for radiography these days because they dont use toxic chemicals, show almost immediate results on chairside monitors, and dont expose patients to even half as much radiation as traditional X-rays. Digital impressions are a patient favorite! When you think of impressions, you likely think of messy and uncomfortable impressions involving malleable material that we put on your teeth. Digital impressions make the entire process completely clean and easy no messy impression material needed! Plus, soft-tissue lasers make periodontal therapy more precise, more comfortable, and less invasive.

Were one of the few offices in the area to offer nitrous oxide, which we can administer to both kids and adults. Kids sometimes have a very hard time sitting still for the length of a dental visit, so light sedation with nitrous oxide can come in handy. We want to make sure that every member of your family has a pleasant experience whenever you visit West River Family Dental.

Dr. Jared V. Rediske is from Eyota, Minnesota. He started his career as a dental assistant in the United States Air Force. He then received his Associates Degree in Dental Applied Sciences and became a certified dental assistant and certified orthodontic assistant. After the Air Force, he went on to finish his undergraduate requirements so that he could go on to dental school. He attended University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006. After graduation, Dr. Rediske moved to Vermont because Brattleboro, VT won his heart. Initially he worked as an associate in a group practice. At the end of 2009 he purchased his own practice in Townshend Vermont. He closed the Townshend office February 2019 and merged the staff and patients to our second location in Brattleboro . Shortly after the merge we began renovations at a new location at 999 Putney Rd. On July 17th 2019 we made our final move to our current location at 999 Putney Road, Brattleboro, Vermont to better serve his patients who live in closer proximity.

Dr. Rediske is currently President of the board of the New England Dental Society. Hes served on the board of the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont, and he was president of the board for two years. In college Dr. Rediske was part of Delta Lambda Phi, a social fraternity of which he was president. He is one of the founders of the Brattleboro Study Club, as well as a member of the Seattle study club, the American Dental Association and Vermont State Dental Association. Hes the attending dentist for the Head Start and Early Head Start program for the Windham County area. Hes a member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks in Brattleboro, and St. Michaels Episcopal Church.

In 2006 Dr. Rediske received the Practice Manager Award from the University of Minnesota. He was named Squadron Airman of the Year in 1998 and Airman Below the Zone in 1999. Dr. Rediske also founded the Well Baby Clinic, serving children between the ages of 1 and 3 years. During the 13 years since the program began, theyve served over 800 children.

Dr. Rediskes mother and two of his sisters live in South Eastern Minnesota close to where Dr. Rediske grew up and his 3rd sisters lives in Wisconsin. Hes been partnered for twelve years and has a 29-year-old step-daughter. He also has two full-size Dobermans and one cat, and 2 salt water fish tanks fish tanks. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, down-hill skiing, squash, and golf, which hes only recently discovered. He also enjoys cooking and playing with his 2 Dobermans. On weekends in the summer he enjoys getting out his fathers 1957 Ford Thunderbird and going for long drives.

Dr. Rediske can remember wanting to be a dentist since he was 12, and his mother remembers him expressing this desire when he was five! He relates to Hermy the Elf from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer he knew he wanted to be a dentist from a very early age. The beauty of being a general dentist is that you can pick and choose what you would like to focus on. Dr. Rediske especially loves working with kids and the surgical aspect of dentistry. Over the course of his career, hes continued to expand his capabilities, and hes excited to now be placing dental implants.

West River Family Dental - General dentist in Townshend, VT

Dr. Ma grew up around dentistry which solidified her wish to become a dentist as her father was a dentist so she saw first hand how much of an effect dentistry has on peoples quality of life and she decided early on she wanted to help people in that way.

She grew up in Andover, Massachusetts and obtained her B.S in Microbiology at the University of Rochester before moving to Philadelphia to attend Temple University Kronberg School of Dentistry where she graduated with honors. She also was one out of two students at Temple University who won theAmerican Public Health Associations (APHA) Anthony Westwater Jong Memorial Pre-professional Award for their project titled: Childhood Obesity and Orthodontic Issues: Provider and Organizational Responsibilities in Addressing a Growing Public Health Epidemic. After graduating from dental school, she realized quickly she would like to move to a more remote, tranquil area and settled in Keene, New Hampshire where she lives with her fianc, Stephen, and her dog Rocket.

Patients are often impressed by her gentle spirit and her kind chair side manner and with her extensive experience in oral surgery and Invisalign, she complements the team of dentists at West River Family Dental very well.

Dr. Ma recently attended the class in dental implantology and will be offering implant services to patients soon. We are excited to have Dr. Ma to be part of our team and are excited to work with her to provide excellent dental care to all of our patients.

This review is not by Marcia Hylan, it is by Dan DeWalt. When my 92 year old mother, aa resident at Valley cares assisted living, was taken to visit the dentist due to a toothache, she was in for a bitter surprise. After a momentary, perfunctory look into her mouth (no mirrors or tools or even looking closely), the oral surgeon, Mr. Bench, rather than even asking my mother where it hurt, instead turned to the activities director of the facility who had been kind enough to drive my mother in, and began to verbally abuse her. He claimed that my mother had not had her teeth brushed in days, if not longer (which was false). He ranted about the facility's dismal care of its residents and threatened to take action against them. The activity director pointed out that his criticisms would be best directed at those who in charge of resident care. He finally stopped his tirade and apologized to the activity director. Not only did he not apologize to mother, he never even acknowledged her presence as he ranted and raved My mother has next to no short term memory. She lives very much in the present. She has excellent hearing and is affected deeply by what she hears as she hears it. For her to be accused falsely of poor dental hygiene, and to hear accusations that would give her worries about the quality of care that she is receiving (which is excellent by the way) caused her to be upset and worried needlessly about her own safety at the hands of those entrusted to care for her. Cleary Bench has no understanding of the damage caused by abusive verbal tirades and has given no consideration of the delicate state of mind that is often the reality in our elders today. this so called doc has no business dealing with the public,m especially those who are vulnerable and unable to defend themselves against an "expert" in a white coat the a Dr. in front of his name. This is not the first time that he has lunched verbal abusive assaults at Velley Care workers in front of the resident whom they brought in. This man needs to be stopped.

Sherry is the BEST dental hygienist I have ever worked with. Laurie is always welcoming on arrival. Jared gives a thorough exam and points out treatment options clearly and cheerfully. A great family practice!

The quality of care is great, as well as the staff working at the Townshend location. I called this morning with a pain/ possible infection and they arranged to have me seen the same day. Usually, the dentist is not one of the places I enjoy visiting, but this office is much more relaxing and helpful than many I've visited.

Jeff Wallace is the GREATEST. But your website sucks. Can't leave definitive information, etc. With an office that closes at 4 pm you should make CONTACT options more user friendly.
