You can pay for your office visits and any treatments by cash, check, credit or debit card at the time of treatment. We also accept most major dental insurance plans and offer a Senior Citizen discount. To discuss your payment options or insurance coverage, please call (612) 721-2424.
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.
Dr. Michael Skadron, a 1991 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, welcomes you to West River Dental Care. He has dedicated his career to providing you and your family with the very best in dental care. Dr. Skadron is continually upgrading himself and his practice on the newest dental techniques and approaches, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Society, and the Minneapolis District Dental Society.
Our practice is growing and we are excited to announce a new member of our dental team, Dr. K.C. Hemstreet! Dr. K.C. Hemstreet was born and raised in Woodbury, Minnesota and completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then spent a year working in a dental research lab at the National Institutes of Health in Washington, D.C. before attending dental school at the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. Following her graduation from dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. Dr. Hemstreet loves providing quality, evidence-based dental care to her patients while building a trusting and enjoyable relationship with them. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time outdoors, rooting for Minnesota sports teams, and trying new restaurants in the Twin Cities. As the newest member of West River Dental Care, she looks forward to being part of the team and meeting our patients.

They were very nice and made me comfortable. I'll also add that the person who cleaned my teeth did a great job and also gave without a doubt the gentlest "Novocain" shots I've ever gotten. I barely noticed the shots as they were happening and I don't feel the sites of the shot the next day. Don't know what that means but it's definitely commendable and rare in my experience.

I just moved to Minneapolis and couldn't say enough good things about West River Dental! Dr. KC Hemstreet was the dentist I saw, and she was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and kind. You'd be in good hands if you saw her! This isn't the kind of place that pushes extra costs or services or things you don't need. The hygienist I saw, Ashley, was nothing short of incredible. I had some weird insurance questions, and the employees at the front desk answered them all. An all-around great experience- I will certainly be returning!

I had the best dental care experience. The reception staff makes me feel at home the moment I walked in. The dental assistant did an amazing detailed cleaning and the dentist was very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Skadron is the best dentist in the area. I'm very nervous about going to the dentist. I have terrible teeth, yet he & his team put me at ease with no pain & did a beautiful job with all of the work I've had done. I won't go anywhere else.

I can't speak highly enough about West River Dental! My first visit was for a wisdom tooth extraction- an experience most people don't walk away from smiling. However, Dr. Hemstreet and the team made me feel so comfortable and heard! She made sure I understood the whole process and the risks, while assuring me I'd be well taken care of. The extraction took less than an hour and I was out the door with a cleaning appointment on the calendar. I had the cleaning appointment today and am happy to say I felt just as taken care of by Ashley! Excited to have found a dentist's office I absolutely don't dread going to!

I have known and trusted Dr. Michael Skadron for many years and his knowledge and expertise are without exception. I am VERY fussy about my dental care and I would never consider a different practice. In addition, both hygienists, Faith and Ashley, took very good care of me. They were professional, patient, and extremely competent. I am kind of a chicken when it comes to pain and I had ZERO discomfort. And lets not forget the front office staff..always friendly and helpful. If I could offer more than 5 stars on this Google review, I'd give at least 100! Simply the best Dentist I've ever seen for dental work. I worked in a dental clinic and I've had three or four regular dentists in my life. Dr Skadron exceeds them all in patient care, trustworthiness, and keeping on top of advanced dental practices. Also, they nailed it with the office remodel :)

Dr. Skadron helped me out so quickly last week when I lost a tooth. He had me come in the day I called and worked me through his day. Prepped me for a crown, had my teeth cleaned, fixed me up and sent me on my way. I have such gratitude for Dr. Skadron and i recommend him always. So happy he is my dentist!!

Dr. Skadron always explains clearly what he will be doing, never any surprises.
