Dr. Holly dreamt of becoming a dentist since the age of 9. Having had a good experience with his own childhood dentist, he saw an opportunity to be in service to others and offer a valuable service. After graduating from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science, he was accepted to Oregon Health Science University, School of Dentistry and graduated in 2006 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
In January 2011, Dr. Holly acquired West River Dental in beautiful Bend Oregon. West River Dental is a family friendly dental office practicing all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Holly and his dental team, strive to create a comfortable, stress free environment for their patients. He has brought some new changes with him, such as Invisalign, The Wand (a pain free anesthetic machine), and is now a mercury free practice.

Dr. Holly is a trustworthy and truly talented dentist. I broke my permanent front teeth at age 8 and have been through a rollercoaster with bonding and caps for the past 25 years, which were put on by my previous (out of state) dentist. After my cap cracked last week, Dr. Holly replaced both front crowns in 3 hours with his state of the art CEREC machine. I was a nervous wreck and 10/10 neurotic about the process but he and his assistant put me at ease and patiently walked me through the process. I was honestly skeptical that he could come close to matching my previous caps but the new caps are SO much nicer and more natural looking than even before. He took the time to make sure the color match was right (even went outside with me in natural light). Cosmetically, I am so happy and cannot believe he was able to achieve this result with in-house technology and talent (he hand paints the stain on). At the end he made sure my bite was aligned and made all the adjustments without compromising the integrity of the new cap. The local anesthetic was painless and I felt zero discomfort. I should mention that he is a straight shooter who will not try to scam you or up-sell you like other local dentists I have seen. His staff is professional and kind, as well. I am thrilled to have found Dr. Holly and recommend him without reservation. He is truly the best.

No fear!!! I really appreciate how down your earth and considerate Dr Holly and his staff are. It has been a long road to get where I am. Dr Holly and staff always help celebrate the small wins. I know my teeth aren't perfect and I have a long way to go but West River Dental is always there to cheer along the way. Dr Holly is always straightforward and honest. Even if you get scolded, it's because he genuinely cares. He has without a doubt, your best interest in mind because he truly cares.

Back in the summer of 2019 I was in Bend Oregon on business and needed an emergency root canal and crown. My case was complicated so I was referred to another local orall surgeon and then cam back to West River Dental to see Dr. Holly for my crown. It was the best experience I have had with a dentist. They constructed my crown on the spot with precise accuracy. The tooth fit like a glove with little need for adjustment. Current day..on 3/10/2021 I drove 8 hrs to come back for another root canal and crown. I also had to have him redo a crown that I had done a month prior by a money hungry, under skilled dentist in California. I live in Northern California and I drove 8 hrs to have my teeth done by the best , and that is no exaggeration. The staff is amazing, they treat you with respect and treat you like family. I highly recommend West River Dental! I will continue to drive to Oregon for all my dental work and if you want your teeth to be done right, I suggest you go there! AC 3/10/2021
