Our practice serves the greater Metropolitan area including Ridgewood, Glen Rock, HoHoKus, Allendale, Paramus, Westwood, Montvale and Upper Saddle River, Waldwick, Wyckoff, Oradell, Ramsey and many other Bergen County towns.
I truly enjoy being a dentist and I love getting to know my patients personally and teaching them how to take great care of their teeth. I get to use my clinical skills to help them maintain their oral health to avoid discomfort. Dentistry is a fulfilling and wonderful profession, and I look forward to seeing patients every day.
I obtained a B.A. in Biology from Rutgers University and I attained my DMD from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. I received a Certificate in General Practice Residency from Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, where I was Chief Resident.
As part of my continuing education, I am a Facilitator for the Columbia University College of Dental Medicines Dental Ethics program, and a Past instructor for the both Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg Hospital GPR Programs. I am an active member of the American Dental Association, NJ Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration and ITI International Team for Implantology. I am also a Fellow of the New York Academy of Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry. On the local level, I am involved with and attend monthly meetings of the Bergen County Dental Society, Ridgewood Rotary and The Ridgewood Valley Study Club.

I love going to West Ridgewood Dental because I know I'm going to receive exceptional care under the watchful eye of Dr. Perruzzi, a true craftsman who always strives to achieve perfection in his work. His assistants are caring and skillful and the office staff are dedicated, helpful and courteous. Dr. P. has been managing my dental care for many years and I am so grateful to have found him.

Update to my prior experience. Can you love your dentist?? Maybe! Let me say that I am a technician/craftsman by trade. Recently, I had a piece break off a rear molar which had multiple old fillings in it from when I was...10?(!?!?)... First, the wonderful Karen the Gatekeeper lady had me in the chair the next day at 8:00am! And, I am expecting the worst that it can't be saved and the Cost of a crown is immanent. $Ouch$. I was hoping on the outside chance Dr. Peruzzi could do some "bodywork" and save that cost (and tooth!)... He did!! I was amazed as I looked at the pic of what he did by bonding and his very great care and skill . Thanks once again for wonderful dental experience, which if possible, just happened... again. Bravo!

I have always been scared of the dentist. However, I do not hesitate to rate 5/5 stars for West Ridgewood Dental. The staff, dental hygienists, and doctors at this practice are so extremely patient, kind, reassuring, and TALENTED. I actually like going to the dentist now. (!!!!) The amazing front desk staff helped me through my insurance questions and concerns, as I had a new plan. They were patient and helpful, and so incredibly polite. I had my cleaning done by Karen, who is also an absolute pleasure. She was gentle and thorough in the cleaning, and used every possible opportunity to make me feel good about sitting in that chair-- we laughed a lot together as well. You are the best, Karen! Dr Austein is also fantastic, to say the least. He is extremely kind and sociable as well. The work he has done for me (several fillings, a chipped tooth fix) has been of very high quality. He took the time to answer my questions in a way that I could understand, and did not rush. He also acknowledged my anxieties, and truly reassured me. The high quality of patient care is unmatched. Thank you Dr Austein. I won't see another dentist, as the whole process was smooth and I was treated with respect and kindness the entire time. Dental work can involve high levels of anxiety for so many people, me included, and I am grateful for all of those at West Ridgewood Dental-- so grateful, I wrote paragraphs to explain my 5/5 stars. :)

Our family loves West Ridgewood Dental. We each have our favorite dentist. Mine is Dr Austein since he has helped me with a few dental emergencies during the last two years. I am very happy with the results so far. The staff is extremely friendly. This is important when easing a 7 year old for her check ups. The dental hygienists are all excellent and I never hope to get one over another.

Such a great experience! The staff is warm, courteous and friendly. Rita did a very gentle but extremely thorough cleaning and was a pleasure. Dr. Peruzzi was engaging, knowledgeable, detailed and really took his time with exam and dental history. All in all it was the most fun I've ever had at the dentist!
