West Princeton Dental Clinic PC - General dentist in Birmingham, AL

My goal is to always provide excellence in dental care, while also building self-esteem in every patient. I strive to be a superior and caring dentist, who generously gives back to my local and global community.

I have always been a fighter and survivor. As the ninth child of eleven, I grew-up in a Birmingham community called The Bottom. As you can imagine by its name, The Bottom was not the most ideal place to live, but the families in our community never let their circumstances deter them. Neither did I.

I am a product of Birmingham City Schools.I also attend the University of Alabama Dental School in Birmingham. After graduation, Ibuilt my practice a block from my childhood home to give back to the community that helped me develop into the man thatI am today. Everyday I endeavor to exemplify what it is to be a servant leader inthe community.

In additon to the patients who have trusted their oral health to me, I alsoprovide comprehensive dental care for veterans and military services members through programs deveolped by the government to give them optimal care. I also coordinate medical missions overseas, to Ghana, Venezuela, Liberia, and Haiti.

I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Alabama Dental School. Each year I pursue continuing education (CE), to stay updated on the latest trends and developments in dentistry. This ensures I am best able to serve my patients with the safest, most comfortable, and most effective care. I attend local, regional, and national dental meetings and seminars, and stay current with the latest research findings.

Im a Birmingham native and am married to my soul mate, Diann. Im the proud father of six children: Jasmine, Adolphus, Justin, Charity, Julian, and Joy Rosa. Spending quality time with my family is my priority when Im not in the office. I also love dancing and traveling, and am active within my church.

Im very involved with my local community, as well caring for people nationally and internationally. I believe I have a spiritual obligation to improve the lives of the less fortunate and be a positive influence for those who I meet.

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice. We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.

Its a pleasure to spend my days helping patients develop great oral hygiene and beautiful smiles. When I can help a person learn why its important to care for their dental health, and how to do it, its a great feeling. I love seeing a happy, smiling, satisfied, flossing patient! I assist our doctors as they care for our patients. I also deliver oral hygiene care and am our lab case coordinator, too. Most importantly, I make sure every person has a good visit while in our care.

I love seeing the light go on in a patients face, when they understand the relationship between good home care and good oral health. When a person understands the critical role they play in keeping their mouth healthy, its a great feeling. I provide dental hygiene education while caring for patients, as I clean their teeth, take X-rays, and record their medical history. Its a pleasure to see their smiles and hear their thanks at the end of a painless visit.

I love helping people, and my job lets me to do that every day. Its a wonderful thing to see a patient at the end of a procedure, when theyre so pleased with the results and they cant stop smiling. I make sure each person has a good experience during their visit. I am always here to provide support, encouragement, and whatever is needed. Working chairside, I assist our doctors and hygienists during dental health procedures.

I enjoy helping people improve their dental and overall health. When a person has a healthy mouth, that increases their body wellness, and when they have a healthy smile, theyre happier and have increased self-esteem. Its a good feeling to help people feel better in so many ways. I provide assistance to our doctors and hygienists as they care for our patients. I also order supplies and perform light maintenance.

Getting to know our patients, teaching them the value of good oral health habits, and seeing them smile when they understand the importance of daily flossing: I love these things. I have two positions in our office. As a hygienist, I clean teeth, take X-rays, and educate patients about their oral health. As office manager, I oversee the daily running of the practice, ensuring that our team is in tip-top shape to provide excellent care to our patients.

I was told that I had six cavities in my mouth, and that didn't sit right with me because I take care of my teeth. I went for a second opinion and was told my teeth were good with no cavities. I really don't appreciate that big lie!

Very unprofessional and rude. VERY LONG wait times and the environment is not inviting. If you don't care how you are talked to or treated, this is the place!

Unprofessional! I took my daughter there to get her teeth cleaned and the man that was doing the cleaning kept walking out and answering his phone which wasn't a problem until I realized that everytime he came back into the room to finish the procedure I would have to tell him to change his gloves because he would just try to stick his hand in her mouth each time after he touched his phone with those gloves on and I just thought that was so unprofessional.

I had been going to West Princeton for a decade. In early years, service was better, but service deteriorated prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and when the pandemic hit, service hit an all time low. My second to last appointment, I was left waiting to be checked out for an hour while staff members talked on the phone, talked to each other and basically ignored me standing at the desk. One worker was teaching something to another worker while I stood and stood and stood. reported the incident, but no one got back to me. My last appointment, I showed up 15 minutes early, as I normally do and they had me waiting in my vehicle for 45 minutes. No one called me. I called them and even though the person who scheduled me told me to wait in the car, now, they told me I should have just come in. I cracked a tooth and I have been trying for a week to get an appointment since Monday. First, I was told I had an appointment on Tuesday, but the appointment was actually written down on Wednesday during another doctor appointment!. That was problematic, but I did not complain. I tried to offer grace. Then it happened again, only worse. I was told I have an appointment, got up early, got dressed, went out in the pandemic only to be told the woman I spoke to had not written my appointment down at all! I am so angry because I have cancer and I don't need to be out in this pandemic just because the schedulers and the people who answer their phones cannot get their act together. Twice, in one week, I was told I have an appointment, only my name was not written down in the book. I have called each day, sometimes more than once a day. After all my loyalty, they did not try to help with what is now an emergency situation. Sigh, I realized they just don't value me as a customer. I feel frustrated, but more hurt because I was dumb enough to believe this practice cared about me and my teeth. I thought they were humble and were able to admit mistakes and to try to work with me. I asked about my balance and as is usually the case, they didn't know. One woman told me I owed them $40, but could not tell me for what. Then, of course, she says my balance is zero. You know what, I should have not try this hard to get effective service. I just shouldn't. Pros: great music, nice art Cons: slow, slow, slow customer service, check out takes forever; the left hand does not know what the right hand is saying or doing- anyone could answer the phone and tell you anything. There is no accountability. They don't talk to me about my teeth. I often have a new person each time I visit, though I requested the same person Everything with the teeth care seems rather rushed, like a drive thru The billing was done incorrectly. They would tell me I owed one thing, then send me bills later on. I was very proud to be a part of a Black business, but I refuse to be neglected and mistreated. After all this time, shame on you for mistreating me and for making no attempts to correct the mistakes the Office made. Shame. Now, I have to go find a new dentist office where people actually do what they say. Sigh.

I give them 3 stars the staff was very professional and friendly. The main issue I had with this office is the lack of parking there or nearby I didn't feel like my vehicle was safe because of the neighborhood and had to park in someone's yard. Like I said the staff was awesome but they need more parking.

Just got back from my appointment. Dr. Jackson and the staff were awesome. Everyone was very friendly and there was no wait. (This is weird to say about a dental appointment, but) I had a great time.

Dr. Jackson is a crook and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. Tried to charge me 2x as much for dental work that Midfield dental did for less than half for the same work
