Dr. Amit Shah has been providing dental care to our patients at West Point Dental since 2009! He grew up in Kolkata, 'the city of joy', in Eastern India. His hometown is known for it 's vibrant culture and enthusiastic people! Dr. Shah 's family follows a fundamental principle of Jainism, 'ahimsa', which means non-violence- through words, actions, and thoughts. This principle guides him in his work and life, which shines through in his calm demeanorand non-judgmental nature.
Dr. Shah's dental journey was inspired by his father, who was the only general dentist in their town that did difficult oral surgeries. He began assisting his father with dental procedures when he was in high school, and he never looked back! In 2004 he achieved his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from India. He then came to the USA and completed his Master of Science in Clinical Dentistry (MS) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL in 2007. He graduatedwith his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)from theUniversity of Nebraska Medical Center in 2009, and then joined us here in Commerce Township, MI!We are so happy to have had Dr. Shah leading our dental team for over 10 years!

The staff here is amazing. I have had a fear of dentist's and put off much needed treatment. Everyone here went out of their way to put me at ease. If you have anxiety, this is the place to go.

West Point Dental is amazing,Dr Shah and his staff made me feel very comfortable. It's the best Dental experience I have ever had I will continue to go there. Everyone there Dr Shah,Courtney, Melody, Brylyn and Wendy are absolutely amazing. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Worst dentist I've ever been to. Will say you need tons of work just to make money. Not honest at all. Oh and I drowned with water during my cleaning.

This place is the worst place ever I would never recommend them to anyone got here today September 21, 2022 sign on the door closed due to power outage but the place on either side of West Point are open with the lights on.

Like many people, the dentist is not my favorite place to go, but Dr. Shah and the whole team make the experience from start to finish not only comfortable, but also enjoyable. They even have a separate space to discuss finances in private, which I have not found in most other doctor offices. If you are feeling anxious about getting back to the dentist, West Point Dental will get you where you need to be without any judgement or pressure!

I am having an entire mouth makeover and I have found my new dental home . From the first call to discuss your dental issues you are greeted by Courtney, and she's the absolute best at her job. She listens!! Doesn't interrupt you! Courtney is very knowledgeable about ALL insurance plans and what she doesn't know, she will research for you. Once you and Dr Shah have your plan figured out, Courtney takes over with your insurance. She doesn't ask you to do the work with your insurance company. She works with them to get you everything your plan allows. Charlotte is one of Dr Shah's assistants. She is awesome! She's very kind, empathetic and extremely good at her job. She knows the tools Dr Shah needs before he even asks for them. I've asked to have Charlotte with me for every procedure I'm going through, she's that good and very comforting. Dr Shah is amazing!! I'm quite a project! But Dr Shah is making my process as easy and comfortable as possible. He listens!! If you tell him you're hurting, he stops and adjusts and will turn up the gas if necessary. I needed him to do this a couple of times and no questions or argument regarding the amount of gas. Dr Shah, "pressure is expected, pain is not". I just love that!! I've got 2 more big procedures to go through but am feeling much less anxious because of Dr Shah and his staff. I HAVE FOUND MY FOREVER DENTAL HOME

Had 2 broken teeth on dentures, they took me in the next day. Also they will be fixed and returned in 24 hours on holiday weekend. I do suggest West Point for dental needs

I highly recommend this denist . The staff was amazing. The iffice is clean and organized. Everyone was so nice and made me feel so comfortable. The hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth .

Very friendly staff. Affordable dental plan for those without insurance. Provided me with the most comprehensive exam I have ever had. I have never had a dentist sit with me for as long to explain in detail my x-rays and images and talk about treatment options. Highly recommend. Very easy to get ahold of to schedule and appointment with.

As a new patient, I was highly impressed by how kind and welcoming the staff is. Wendy, my hygenist, took the time to introduce herself and explain how to continue my dental care at home. She was knowlegable and professional. She did an outstanding job cleaning my teeth, as I am a periodontal patient and did not experience pain as she was cleaning my teeth. By far, this has been the best teeth cleaning I have gotten. As far as my dental exam, Dr. Shah spent quality time diagnosing and explaining it thoroughly to me which demonstrated how knowledgable, passionate he is about dental, as well as providing top quality care to his patients. West Point Dental gained a patient for life and I can't wait to tell my family and friends about this place. If you don't already know they give a $25 referral credit to anyone you refer to them!

My experience at West Point Dental has been for lack of a better word Phenomenal! I needed a lot of work done from years of not going after my previous dentist retired. I was nervous and kinda embarrassed but they put those fears to bed right away and I'm very happy to say the least. Dr. Shah and his staff have been very respectful and kind including the dental hygienist Wendy. I forget the the rest of staffs names but they are just as nice. I had a couple fillings recently and I was so relaxed I actually dozed off during process which has never happened. I'd recommended over any in area.
