Dr. Avni Patel Dhaliwal was raised in the foothills of North Carolina. She obtained her Doctor in Dental Surgery from the top-ranked dental school, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in 2009.
Dr. Avni Patel Dhaliwal was raised in the foothills of North Carolina. She received her BS in Psychology and BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. She decided to continue her education at the top ranked dental school at UNC and obtained her Doctor in Dental Surgery from there in 2009.
After dental school Dr. Dhaliwal began practicing in Illinois. Eight years of brutal winters later, she and her husband decided to move their family down to the Orlando area, bringing them closer to friends, family and warmer weather.
Throughout her career Dr. Dhaliwal has enjoyed giving back to her community. She has devoted her free time and resources to help the underserved population. She enjoys participating in missions of mercy clinics, where she provides dental treatment to those that cannot afford it. She was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for implementing an oral healthcare program in the geriatric population residing in assisted living facilities.
One of her most memorable experiences was a mission trip to Mexico where she provided free dental care to children at an orphanage. She strives to bring this type of compassion to every patient she encounters in order to make their experience as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
One of the most appealing benefits of an in-house membership plan is that it doesnt require a middle man. This way, you dont have to worry about communicating with your insurance provider to check on your claims or understand your coverage. Youll simply receive the dental care you need, right when you need it.
While it would be nice, we understand that not all dental care is preventive. Our plans give you exclusive access to a 15% discount on all additional treatments. Discounts applied at our office when paid via cash, check or credit card. Does not include if paid through financing.

Wow, the experience I had today was amazing! I am terrified of the dentist industry due to previous experiences. What I found with Dr.Dhaliwal was someone who is compassionate, patient and genuinely cared about me and the well being of my teeth! She took the time to explain and answer ALL of the questions I had. She made me feel safe and I didn't feel overwhelmed with a patient plan that was given to me. Thank you Dr. Dhaliwal!!! You are a true asset to the dentistry world!!!

I'm a high anxiety patient regarding all dental procedures, so when I had a cleaning appointment at Dr. Dhaliwal's office, I was so surprised to have a dental hygienist who intuitively worked around areas of receding gum line. He listened to my needs and talked me through any questions I had about the instruments used. It was wonderful. The next day (because I now believe that dentist appt. are self care), I was having a filling replaced. Dr. Dhaliwal answered all of my questions up front, let me choose music to listen to, and was incredibly patient and nurturing as my tooth required additional numbing throughout the procedure. She is the only dentist I've visited who listens intentionally to patient needs and concerns and offers to help w/out pushing an agenda of services. She's one of a kind, and I highly recommend her and her team!

Hello! I am new to Florida and began looking for a dentist in mid-January. I googled every dentist in my area, beginning with West Maitland Dentistry. I read everything about so many dental offices but I kept going back and reading again about West Maitland - they really were exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Dhaliwal has excellent credentials and provides a very gentle dental experience. Her staff is warm and helpful. Her participation in the community and compassion for others is amazing. I am so very glad that I found them. They kind of feel like family.

The best dental experience I've ever received. Everyone was very kind from the moment I walked in and they explained everything they were doing, which made me feel comfortable. They were also very transparent with any out of pocket costs I'd have to pay, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this place!

My experience at Dr. Dhaliwal's was delightful, from appointment making and reception to scheduling the next visit at the end! The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. The office is small, but super modern and clean. Dr. Dhaliwal's approach is conservative, which I appreciate. She really seems genuine and appears o have your best interest at heart. I received a full dental exam including x-rays and a cleaning. I will let you know my experience if I ever need to have more extensive work done. You get a little goodie bag with a nice toothbrush and floss a the end of your visit with the Hygienist, Mustafa. However, I did not get the free whitening kit, but I got great service. I believe I still came out winning! Highly recommend this dentist office. #itybityreviewsandconsulting

I absolutely love Dr. Dhaliwal & her staff. Amanda, Dawn & Beatrice are also wonderful. First and foremost - they remember you. They get to know you and care about you! This office makes you feel like you're part of their dental family. They're also amazing with kids. My 4 year old LOVES being in their chair. She feels safe, comfortable and loved. Second - the work they do is second to none!!! Dr. Dhaliwal filled my smile today so there are no little gaps and it look GREAT! She's got a gift and pays attention to detail. She makes sure you leave HAPPY. We are so sad to leave when we move away back to Utah but we will recommend you to our friends in Florida forever!

Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable here! The dentist and hygienist really take the time to make sure you're doing okay before, during and after your cleaning and/or procedures. Jessica at the front is very attentive and respectful. If she receives another phone call while you are in front of her, she will kindly say please give me a second and then answer the phone rather than just answer the phone with no regard for the person in front of her. I highly recommend this place!

I love this dentist office. I am usually a nervous wreck at doctors and dentists and the folks here at West Maitland Dentistry are so patient and kind to me. Nothing hurt, not even the numbing shots! Everyone is super nice and easy to talk to and they've calmed me down during my panic attacks there haha. Will be going here for all dental stuff for as long as I live in Florida. 10/10

Where do I even start to explain what a difference West Maitland Dentistry has done for my dental hygiene. She explained things to me that no other dentist has ever explained. She also caught cavities and basically mold on my retains that no other dentist did. My entire family is now going to her and she has changed our life. We are so thankful to have found this dentist and will never switch. Thank you Dr. Dhaliwal and the staff.

We moved relatively recently and needed to find a local dentist. We decided to give this one a try and it was great! We have four kids from ages 4-13 and they treated each one kindly. They made sure they were taken care of and playing while hanging out in the waiting room. The cleaning was professional and complete. They took care to listen to any concerns and explain exactly what was going on. We highly recommend this dentist and office to anyone looking for a dentist...especially to those with kids.
