I was born and raised in Maui, Hawaii and I try to bring the aloha spirit to those around me. I wear many hats here at West Linn Dental. I work in the front as a patient coordinator, the back as a dental hygienist and I am the overall team mom.

I grew up locally in Oregon City. I love our Oregon summers and try to be on the water and at the beach as often as possible. I am the office manager and the first smile youll see when coming to West Linn Dental. Im here to help with insurance, financials and overall comfort throughout our dental relationship. Ive been in administrative dentistry for fifteen years and I love it. Patients are like family to me and I look forward to welcoming them into ours!

The team at West Linn Dental believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.

It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.

While we place great value on preventative care, it is important to note that we are happy to help improve anyones oral health regardless of their situation. Our patients should never feel self-conscious or ashamed about their oral health or dental issues, and we would never judge. Our goal is to focus on your bright future, not your past.

Understanding the importance of these regular dental exams, the team at West Linn Dental work to make each patient extremely comfortable. This includes being welcoming and kind while performing dental treatments in a way that is painless, relaxing and free of judgment. Patients visit our office because they trust us to do just that gently take care of their teeth and gums. The majority of our patients are members of the West Linn community, but we are happy to see any patients seeking friendly, gentle dental care.

Seniors, on the other hand, often struggle with gum disease and oral infections. As people age, their teeth can become weaker and infected more easily. Bone loss is incredibly common with seniors and by conducting regular dental exams, the team at West Linn Dental can help seniors to have strong teeth and reduce the risk of them falling out. Since over seventy percent of U.S. adults suffer from tooth loss, preventative care is important.

A. Primary, or 'baby,' teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to come in.

A. First, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on the face if it is swollen. Give the child acetaminophen for any pain, rather than placing aspirin on the teeth or gums. Finally, see a dentist as soon as possible.

A. Sealants work by filling in the crevasses on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This shuts out food particles that could get caught in the teeth, causing cavities. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.

A. Have your family dentist evaluate the fluoride level of your child's primary source of drinking water. If your child is not getting enough fluoride internally through water (especially if the fluoride level is deficient or if your child drinks bottled water without fluoride), then we may prescribe fluoride supplements.

A. Soft plastic mouthguards can be used to protect teeth, lips, cheeks and gums from sport related injuries. A custom-fitted mouthguard will protect your teeth from injuries and even provide protection from severe injuries to the head.

A. There is very little risk in dental X-rays. Family dentists are especially careful to limit the amount of radiation to which you and your family are exposed. Lead aprons and high-speed film are used to ensure safety and minimize the amount of radiation. Digital x-rays provide an even greater level of protection by using up to 90 percent less radiation.

Finding a kid-friendly dentist can be one of the most important steps to ensuring that your child starts off with strong oral health practices. While some people may feel that caring for primary teeth, or baby teeth, is not as important as caring for permanent teeth because the baby teeth will fall out anyway, this

Do you think that you need emergency dentistry and the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease and subsequent lockdown is making you wait? While emergency dentistry services are still available, it is important for those who are in need of dental services to understand which dental procedures are available right now and which ones can wait to be treated

I was referred to West Linn Dental by some friends who were very impressed with Dr. Biria. I got there and was met by a very welcoming receptionist. The hygienist was smart and very concientious and kind. I understood why it was such a welcoming atmosphere after meeting Dr Biria. He was genuinely interested in who I was and my health. He explained my xrays in detail and a plan of action. I was very impressed with the entire office. I

I have been extremely satisfied with the quality of service Dr. Biria has provided me and my wife, Mary, over the years. We first met him and obtained his services several years ago when he served our community in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He and his staff have always provided us exceptionally competent, excellent services, in a caring, personal manner. He has set the bar high high for us. We have tried other dentists in our area and they have fallen very short of our expectations. I am totally satisfied with my recent appointment with Mo and his staff. It was well worth the trip up and back from Southern Oregon. I highly recommend his services.

Dr. Mo Biria and his staff have been so great! They are super professional, diligent, flexible. The doctor has a gentle touch, but also firm. I have undergone a lot of dental work at this office (several crowns, an implant, cleaning, etc.) and the result has been simply excellent. I am satisfied, and look forward to continuing as a patient at West Linn Dental.
