Dr. Melina R. Gable has been practicing dentistry since 2010, serving Jackson County since 2012. As a young girl, she always wanted to be a dentist. Growing up as an army brat, she had great experiences with the military dentists and always enjoyed going for her regular checkups. Perhaps it was the treasure box reward that instilled that passion for pursuing the career.
Dr Melina graduated from Clayton State University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. During that time she was a member of Georgia Techs Marching band, playing trumpet and serving as Co-Captain of the Colorguard. She completed a post bachelor's summer program at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before continuing to earn her Masters in Biomedical Science and Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Her loyalty lies with the ACC.
An active member of the American Dental Association, and Georgia Dental Association, she continues her education to better serve her patients with the best materials and modern techniques. Her passion for helping others does not stop at dental. She is an active member at Southside Church and plans to serve as a small group leader. Dr Melinas fluency in Spanish has allowed her to plan and serve in local and international missions. She has volunteered with Team Smile, and the Georgia Baptist Mobile Mission. She has since started her own local mission 'Smile Forward', to help Jackson county residents while donating all proceeds forward to help local county charities. Locally she has served on the Planning and Zoning Committee for the City of Hoschton, and volunteers at West Jackson Elementary. She lives in Hoschton with her husband Wayne , her son Olon, and her dachshund Margo. She spends her free time with her family at sporting events, traveling, spending time outdoors, and maintaining an active lifestyle running and occasional biking.

We love West Jackson Family Dental. Everyone is wonderful including Dr Melina, Susan, our dental hygienist and all the staff in the front office. We recommend them highly. They are all kind, friendly and professional.

Had my 6th month cleaning today with Tiffany.Awesome as always.All the staff is so friendly and welcoming !Dr.Melina is the best dentist I have ever had.She always explains her dental plan and amazing person as well.Always willing to help others!!I look forward to going here and that's a added bonus as well.

Went for cleaning & after was told they no longer take MEDICARE ! You pay & file which would have been fine if I was told before. Apparently DENTAMAX sells to MEDICARE & they aren't paying enough for services. Love this dentist & staff. First time there 2 weeks ago & I would swear I've known these ladies for years. I have found my new dentist

I can't say enough good things! My boyfriend and I both had teeth cleaning done and they were great! Friendly staff and clean facility! I had a hard time finding a good dentist that was honest and really cared about you and the health of your teeth. This place is awesome!

I had a visit today and for whatever reason I thought it was at 3 pm but they called cause I was late as my appointment was at 9 am. I rushed there and was so apologetic. I have a lot going on personally right now (as I'm sure most of us do because of COVID) but they were so kind to me. So incredibly kind. They didn't rush my appointment due to me being a little late & actually calmed my stress level. I cant recommend this place enough. The staff is amazing. Teeth feel good too

The entire staff is so friendly and cares about the level of comfort that the patient receives. I could not recommend any dentist more than this one. THEY ARE THE BEST THERE IS!!!!!!

I had to have a root canal performed yesterday and I was terrified honestly. As a nurse it doesn't bother me to poke around on other people, but not when it comes to myself being the patient. They were all wonderful from the front office to the back office. A day after and I honestly have not even had to take Ibuprofen or Tylenol. Very gentle, friendly and obviously knows what she is doing. Great job!!!

I went to have a few teeth fixed, long story short they could not be saved. She suggested a partial ,so first were the extractios with a temporary partial. Next step was the mold and perminet metal frame after was my fitting then added the teeth I needed. The whole experience was wonderful. I'm now waiting on my perminet partial. I need to say I am definitely scared of a dentist but Dr .Melinda has shown me there is no reason to fear a dentist. I would recommend West Jackson Dental to anyone. Very happy to have found this dental office. They are so patient in explaining insurance and payments. They make sure you understand what you're paying for which I appreciate in any medical setting since it can be very confusing. I've had 3 different people clean my teeth here. I have white coat syndrome for sure and they've always been very understanding, going out of their way to make sure I'm comfortable. I had an issue with a tooth filling on a weekend (after being an established patient) and Dr. Melina talked me through my options and helped me get it fixed ASAP. I'll be sad when we leave Georgia eventually and have to find another dentist.

They are by far my favorite dentists i've ever used. Very caring and helpful people. They've never made me feel any type of way about my awful looking and the horrible condition of my teeth unlike some others. I would recommend them to anyone.

If you are looking for a great dental experience you found the place!! The entire staff is friendly and makes you feel right at home. It was refreshing to have a dental team look out for your best interests! Very clean and updated equipment.
