Dr. Vafa earned his DDS degree in 1984. Not long thereafter, he realized that he needed to pursue specialized training to fully provide the best dental care for patients of all ages. He gained that specialized training in childrens dentistry from 1989 to 1992. In 2002, Dr. Vafa relocated to California where he is very happily at home with his wife Fay and two beautiful children.
Dr. Vafa is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and California Dental Association. He continues his education and enhances his expertise through continuing education courses and seminars, as well as by researching the latest dental technologies and methods. The West Hollywood Holistic and Cosmetic Dental Care office is fully appointed with state-of-the-art dental equipment and uses the newest treatment techniques to ensure the utmost of patient comfort and dental work longevity.
Dr. Khandabi is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at UCLA School of Medicine. He enjoys training resident Anesthesiologists, just as much as he gains fulfillment from teaching medical students. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and has been awarded a General Anesthesia and Dental Anesthesia permit.
Dr. Khandabis professionalism, experience, education and skills enable all of the providers at West Hollywood Holistic and Cosmetic Dental Care to provide the services and procedures that patients need with great attention to their comfort, health and stress-free time in the dental office.
Dr. Sara is a strong believer of promoting oral health using preventive measures and patient education. Her patient centered approach to dentistry earned Dr. Sara theUCLA Excellence in Clinical Care Award.
Dr. Sara is Invisalign certified and is a member of several academic bodies including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, California Dental Association, and The Western Los Angeles Dental Society.
Dr. Sara is a general dentist with a keen interest in evidence-based dentistry. Coming from engineering and design backgrounds, she enjoys being accurate and creative with everything she does, especially while at work. Before attending the UCLA School of Dentistry, Dr. Sara obtained a B. S. In Civil Engineering with honors, and worked for several years as a lead engineer at several highly regarded companies. She also studied fashion design and maintained her own fashion label as a hobby.

Sent my aunt here since this was closer than their Beverly Hills location. The office manager Fay has to be the rudest individual I have ever encountered. The way she speaking to her staff was demeaning and unthinkable. I just accompanied my aunt and to my dismay, the level of care is even worst than Beverly Hills office. Dr Vafa is two faced and money hungry! I am not sure if it's a Persian thing but as of now, never will I see another Persian dentist!

Had an emergency, Dr Macy was taking great care of me, prices are reasonable and the service is great. Great equipment and welcoming attitude. I got a very thorough treatment

I was looking for a dentist in LA and saw that there were a lot of good reviews for this spot. It's been a while since I've been to a dentist so I was a bit apprehensive. All the staff were super nice -- they were able to find all my insurance information even though I didn't have my insurance card so that was really helpful. Dr. Vafa answered all my questions and even removed the bonding adhesive residue from a tooth gem.

So incredibly happy with my experience here! Every person in the office was so kind and comforting. They made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in. I got a dental exam and cleaning done in such a timely manner and none of it was painful. I hadn't been to the dentist in a decent amount of time so I was definitely nervous about what would need to be done. Dr. Vafa answered all my questions and explained everything in a digestible way. I'm so grateful I found a great dentist and team!

I had a very good experience here. On my initial visit, I got my X-rays and cleaning done in a timely manner. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. They made sure I used my insurance that I was paying for and did not charge me anything out of pocket. I would recommend this Dentist to anyone who is new to the area and finds it stressful/a pain to find a good dentist.

I recommend this dental practice to anyone needing a dentist in LA. I've been here a few times and the staff is always patient and kind and I never have to wait. I had a dentist in Florida tell me I needed a root canal but when I came here to get the procedure the doctor told me he could fix the tooth with a filling. This saved me money and time! They also fixed a filling right away when I felt like it was too high. Recommend for sure!

Great first time experience! I haven't had a cleaning or x rays done in quit some time so I was a little hesitant finding the right office but this one deserves 5 stars! The staff here is so kind and very informative. Cleanliness is 10/10 I was so impressed by my overall experience.

Had an absolute horrible experience this dentist office overcharged me completely not only did she charge me upfront for everything out of my own pocket but never submitted one claim to my insurance company or even tried to cut the cost. I paid $2000 to this company this dentist and I only had two cavities done and a cleaning what type of dentis is this number one secondly how am I being charge for all of that especially for preventative care it's covered by my PPO insurance with CIGNA I would not recommend by going here I would not recommend stopping by even taking a look trying to figure it out you're going to be take it vantage of and she's going to take it vantage of your wallet and your insurance company's wallet I have never been to a dentist office so disgraceful not only to know that when I arrived for my third appointment they wanted me to pay $745 for another two fillings that needed to be done and when I decided to tell them know let me think about this this is not something I want to do not paying another $745 she was not what seems feasible and she tells me well you need to pay me a $50 fee for missing your appointment these people do not care about you these people do not care about anything that's going on besides themselves run away run CIGNA has already filed a complaint with them through the dental administration and I am doing the exact same along with Better Business Bureau this is not going to go any further I have never been treated so unfairly in my life

Love these guys! I've been coming here for the past 2 years, and the doctors, dental assistants and front desk staff are always super sweet and professional - truly the best. Just got some bonding done for two chipped teeth, and I'm beyond happy with the results - all thanks to newcomer Dr. Sarah! :)

I went in today to have my teeth Zoom whitened and I must say I am very happy with the results!! The office staff was very nice and professional and the office was clean. I would definitely recommend them for dental services.

Dr. Vafa and his entire staff are caring and incredibly professional. I never have to wait to be seen and it's refreshing that they actually keep to their appointments and respect their patients' time. My most recent visit was during the pandemic and I was quite impressed with their level of cleanliness and care.

I was looking for a dentist that is using ozone for the treatments. I booked the cleaning and it was not what I expected. It was regular cleaning without using ozone. The people working there were very nice but if you are looking for more than regular cleaning it is not place to go. Dr said she will use ozone to disinfect tooth before putting filing.
