For Dr. Stephanie, the idea to open a dental practice began while she was still in dental school. At the time, students had to create a business plan for an assignment. Somewhere along the way, the idea of starting a practice became more than just a graded exercise. While in her pediatric residency, Dr. Stephanie decided to purchase the property that would eventually become West Haven Pediatric Dentistry.

West Haven Pediatric Dentistry - Pediatric dentist in North Augusta, SC

Did you know the name West Haven has sentimental value? In 1992, Dr. Stephanies mother and grandmother started a daycare in Evans, Georgia and they named it West Haven Preschool and Learning Center. She basically grew up at the daycare and even had her first job there at the age of sixteen. When it came time for Dr. Stephanie to name her practice- it was a no brainer!

Here at West Haven Pediatric Dentistry, we are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry. We truly believe in starting children off right when it comes to their dental health. It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentists office as a good place. Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.

Our dentists and staff have received extra training for primary teeth. Our goal is to protect your childrens teeth so they can eat and speak correctly. We will do whatever we can to help your children have the bright smiles they deserve.

Dr. Stephanie started her dental career working as a dental hygienist at a local pediatric dental office. There, she quickly realized her passion for working with kids and decided to further her education. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Augusta University and was then accepted into their pediatric residency program. She completed two years of specialty training while there which focused on treating children, adolescents, and those with special needs.

Dr. Stephanie is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and South Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

In her free time, she enjoys going to the lake, hunting, fishing, crafting, loving on her German Shorthaired Pointer (Windsor), attending concerts, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs in the fall! Most importantly, she loves spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Stephanie may have been born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, but she has a special place in her heart for South Carolinas Riverfront. She is so excited to be welcomed into the North Augusta community and cant wait to meet you and your little one!

My kids (4,13 and 14) absolutely love getting their teeth cleaned every since we started going to West Haven. They take their time and do great work. The staff is nice and patient. We never have a long wait time, if one at all.

My son hit his tooth with a toy and I was concerned because it caused a crack and even being short staffed they still made time to see him within 24 hours!

i will start off by saying i know my son is a lot to handle when it comes to his dentist appointments. he has severe anxiety, which i state before any appointment begins. HOWEVER, starting off the appointment by the hygienist saying "we'll see if we can even do it depending how he behaves" is just rude. she was clearly done with us before starting the procedure. why even make us skip work and school if you already knew you were going to look in his chart, see he has anxiety, and not do anything. you are a pediatric dentist office only seeing children, you may want to have some hygienists who hold SOME compassion. i told her before they started it would calm some of his nerves if they explained the process step by step as they were doing it and that was completely ignored. they put the clamp in his mouth with no reasoning behind why or forewarning (which as i stated my son needs) and of course he pulled it out asking why he needs it. BOTH hygienists at this point said it was so he wouldn't bite their fingers off??? as if this is some kind of joke? you are working with a child who is scared. shoving a clamp in his mouth enough to cause a bruise is not calming anyones anxiety. this isn't the first time this has happened. this clamp was also used on my younger son who got a bruise on his lip as well. it's like you see these children as inconveniences unless they're perfect angels. please for the sake of future patients and children, take some sort of courses on bedside manner and kids with anxiety

Let me start by saying I've never been to this office. I called to schedule an appointment while I was at the pediatricians office next to it. They told me I has to fill out paperwork first. Eventually I did that and didn't hear back from them. I called a few weeks later and was told they have the paperwork and someone would call the next day to schedule. I was never called. I called a few weeks later (today) and was told they don't have the paperwork and are no longer accepting patients with medicaid. Meanwhile I was asked about insurance when I spoke to the first person and she didn't say that. I asked Casey to check for my other child's paperwork and I couldn't even get her name fully out my mouth before she said she didn't have hers either. How did you know that when I didn't give her full name? Because you have the paperwork for the first child I gave and they are connected. And how are you a pediatric dentist in circle with other pediatric offices and don't take patients with medicaid? It's so unfair because I'm a foster mom and all foster kids have medicaid.

This dentist office should be a little more professional about telling patients about the policy when it comes to bringing your kids late, Sometimes things happen and we just can't make it on time, car issues or anything, But, I guess that doesn't matter here. But what I really don't understand is how this office has a problem with patients being late and can't reschedule the appointment, But when they don't have enough staff working, they don't have a problem calling parents to reschedule the appointments then. They have changed my children appointments so many times it ridiculous, but I never say anything!!! (Just rude and unprofessional) DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!!
