Dr. Iuorno earned his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science degree in 1990 from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, close to where he grew up. He received his DDS from the University of North Carolina ta Chapel Hill in 1994 and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.After dental school, Dr. Iuorno completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. He moved to Richmond in 1995 and completed a unique combination of residencies at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning certification in both Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2000) and Orthodontics (2002), making him uniquely qualified to treat complex cases. He received his Master of Science degree in 2002.Dr. Iuorno holds many leadership positions within organized dentistry having been president of the Richmond Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Association and the Virginia Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation. He is a member of the Board of the Virginia Health Catalyst, and has served in leadership on the national level with the American Dental Association. Our doctor is also a member of several dental honor societies including Omnicron Kappa Upsilon, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of General Dentistry.If you look up our Doctor on the internet, you may find his brother, Joe or his wife, Maria. Dr. Maria Iuorno is an endocrinologist with Virginia Endocrinology and his brother, Dr. Joe Iuorno, practices ophthalmology at Commonwealth Eye Care Associates.
Marty is one of WEOs finest assets. She is the office manager and our insurance coordinator. She is also an orthodontic assistant! Her sparkling personality and warm smile are always remembered as people often ask for her by name years after treatment. Come visit and Marty will be there. In fact, she has been with the practice since our opening day in 2002!
Lisa seems to be well-known throughout the West End! She came back to work after raising two boys and we are delighted that she chose to come to work for us. Lisa shares time with Nanette at the front desk so youre sure to get to know her throughout treatment. Ask about her Pennsylvania roots and its likely that youll come up with a mutual friend soon enough.
Its always nice to have a reliably friendly voice on the other end of the phone or across the counter, and Nanette never disappoints. Nanette has had several years of experience in dental and medical practices throughout Virginia. She is always courteous and truly enjoys her time here at WEO. We are lucky to have her help, and look forward to each day shes with us.
Megan came to us straight from her training program in dental assisting. Megan brings with her a hospitable smile and a nurturing disposition that makes her a perfect fit for the WEO team. Outside of work, Megan enjoys country music, singing, hunting and church activities. She and her husband have one son and love life on the farm.
We were so fortunate to have Stacy join our team. Simply put, Stacy is always cheery, an excellent clinical orthodontic assistant and a joy to work with. Patients seem to gravitate to her easy-going demeanor. She and her husband have one son and a beloved Frenchie named Darla.
Our newest addition, Andrea, is actually Megans younger sister. She joined out team when Stacy went out on maternity leave and loved the office and work environment. We loved having her so much that were sending her back to school to receive more formal training and look forward to the day she comes back full-time as an orthodontic assistant.

West end ortho improved all four of my children's smiles! Dr Iuorno is someone who cares about his patients and makes sure the customer is happy. The office staff is top notch and extremely friendly and accommodating. During the trials of COVID, they have not missed a beat and interactions with us have been extremely smooth. My daughter just got her braces removed and her teeth are nothing short of gorgeous! Thanks so much for all you do and for listening and caring about your patients.

We truly had the best experience, which is hard to do with teenagers and braces! The appointment times are convienent and the staff is friendly and professional. Everyone goes out of their way to make the process easy and the results were perfect.

West End Orthodontics has been a fantastic place to go. Each of my 3 sons needed braces for different issues and the office was fantastic. Dr Iuorno is the best. My son's teeth had lots of issues and Dr Iuorno got them straightened and looking great in record time. The office staff is also great, lots of good communication and they give my son gifts for certain milestones which is a nice touch. I have dealt with two other orthodontist offices and my experience with this office was so much better.

Absolutely LOVE everyone at West End Orthodontics! You're not just another face that they work with. Every person who comes through their doors is addressed by name. They truly make you feel like family and I couldn't have been referred to a better office for two years of work. It will be very bittersweet not to get to go the my monthly visits with them!

First visit was today for a consultation. My daughter was very nervous, but the doctor did a great job. She left feeling confident and with no fear of having teeth extracted. I would highly recommend.
