The staff of our practice are charged by Dr. Dave with a simple goal: 'Let 's recommend what 's best for the patient, but always provide the patient with the dental care that they want. We should provide the care that fits their specific needs.'
Shannon has 17 years of experience in the dental field and has resided in West Des Moines for the past 14 years. She is originally from Washington, married with two kids, and enjoys reading, watching movies, and attending sporting events.
Dave Lickteig was born in Spencer and grew up in Carroll, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa where he completed his undergraduate degree and received his dental degree in 1986. Dave then completed a Dental Fellowship in Geriatric Dentistry from the University of Iowa Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry in 2006.
Dave attends several major dental continuing education courses every year in order to provide the most up-to-date dental treatment, and remain informed about the ever changing landscape of dental materials.
Dr. Dave helped raise 4 great children, one of whom is a practicing dentist near Madison, Wisconsin. When he's free he enjoys spending time with his wife hiking, biking and working on projects in his yard and wood shop. He also loves playing with his two labs, Ramsey and Tank!
Dr. Chad King followed in his father's footsteps of becoming a dentist in the Des Moines area. Chad attended the University of Iowa for his undergrad (Go Hawkeye's!) and completed dental school at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2000. He began his career with Dr. Dave in 2000, and has now rejoined him after ten years with another practice. Chad loves being able to help people feel confident about their smiles and helping reduce people's anxiety over dental work. He understands the dentist isn't everyone's favorite place to go, but he hopes to make every experience as painless as possible.
Chad married his high school sweetheart, Carrie, and they now live in Urbandale with their three boys - Carter, Brody, and T.J. In his free time Chad loves watching his kids play sports and as a family they all love to golf and go on family vacations. He is also a proud member of St. Boniface Catholic church, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and the Des Moines District Dental Society.

Great place. From receptionist to the Dr. All are top notch. Always pain free and actually take time to talk to you. Always on time as scheduled.

Awesome staff and made me feel so comfortable. I have always been super nervous and anxious going to dentist, but I have been going here for year and half now and I enjoy going and always feel at ease! Thank you guys so much!!!

It was my four and two year old little men first time to visit a dentist and their experience were the absolute best. The team from the entrance to the examination room were amazing. My kiddos had an amazing time and I fell in love with the office, it's staff and the jobs they did. I would totally recommend this office to all. Thanks for showing my kids such an amazing time.

Dr King is the best!! Used to find any reason not to go to the dentist. I would only go if I had an issue and since meeting Dr King I'm an every 6 month guy and look forward to seeing him. He has been my dentist for 9 years and the only one I would recommend for my friends and family.. If you want a friendly conservative dentist that cares he is your dentist!!!

What wonderful, amazing and kind service. They managed to squeeze me in day of for a really bad cracked tooth. So very polite and kind then entire process. Not many places answer all your questions before you even ask them. Thank you Dr. Dave and team!!
