Dr. West grew up in Miami but has lived in the Jacksonville area since 2002. She received her undergraduate degree in sports medicine from Pepperdine University in California and earned her graduate degree from the University of Floridas School of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. West accepted an associate position with a dentist in Jacksonville. She worked in the community for four years before deciding it was the place she wanted to stay. She bought her existing practice from Dr. Larry Sayre, who retired after working in the same location for 42 years. Dr. West decided she wanted to establish the same long-term relationships with her patients.
Professionally, Dr. West is a member of the Florida Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. She also enjoys riding her bike on the beach, paddle boarding, and attending SEC football games. She is married to Grant Smith, who is a certified dental technician and implant specialist. She is also the proud mother of both a son and daughter, Walker and Charlotte.
Her commitment to providing the most current approaches to patient care motivates her to attend the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies for cosmetic continuing education courses. She has completed all the live hands on patient course including full mouth restoration. Dr. West has also is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In 2018, West Dentistry was #41 on the Gator 100 list. The Gator100 recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest-growing Gator-owned or Gator-led businesses in the world each year. Dr. West was the first female dentist to ever be recognized as a Gator100.
Lisa is from Jacksonville and currently lives in Clay County with her husband and their children. She has been in dentistry since 2003 and has several years of experience in the orthodontic field, and has been with Dr. West for 12 years. Lisa strives to make everyone who comes to West Dentistry feel welcomed and at home. She cares for her patients and loves when they leave the office with a confident smile. When not at work, she loves being a mom and wife, spending time with friends, watching college football, and enjoying outdoor activities.
Violet joined our team in January 2016 and moved here in 2009 from Guayaquil, Ecuador. She is a native Spanish speaker and is also fluent in English. Violet is married to the love of her life, Eliu. She became a fur mommy by adopting her two German Shepherds named Riley and Bella. In her spare time, Violet loves going to Orlando to visit her family and recently started a new hobby-- going on the boat with her husband and friends! Violet is caring, amicable, and is always cheerful. Violet truly cares for our patients and is very happy to be part of the West Dentistry team!

Dr. West and her staff are very professional and friendly. I have gone to assembly line dentists in the past; it's wonderful to have a dentist that puts patients first. The office is modern, but still has the feel of a hometown dentist. I highly recommend West Dentistry.

Normally, a visit to the dentist isn't a pleasant experience. Not the case in this situation. The office is clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend West Dentistry.

Dr. West and all of her staff are just amazing in every sense. They are very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely care for their patients. The offices have, as some reviews mention, a spa feeling to them. Between the ambience and the wonderful care, patients can feel at ease and relax knowing that they are in the best hands.

Wow! The office is beautiful and the staff were kind and knowledgable. Dr. West herself is kind, funny, and expeditious. They also offer injectables like Botox and Juvederm. I felt well taken care of and wasn't shamed for tartar buildup. Great experience from beginning to end. Call the The Terminator because I'll be back!

Where do I begin? Long story short... For 12 years, we used a large multi office dental organization. We left there because of issues with the front office management and when contacting the main office we were told nothing they would do. This started a 2 year search for a new dentist. After a few false starts with other dentists, we found West Dentistry. What a difference. Each time we go in the staff is amazing. The office itself is like going to a spa, open and serene. I am a total woose when it comes to dental work. But I feel comfortable here and after several procedures now, I can tell you I have not felt a single shot!!! Lisa and Dolly at the front are great and really know there stuff. Brittany is one of the best dental hygienist I have ever worked with in my 50 years of life. And Dr. West, where do I begin? First let me say she has the best "bed side manner". She is patient, kind, listens, discusses options and is aware of you as she works. Amazing. If you have a choice of going here, you should.

Can't say enough positive things about Dr. West and her team. I recently had a challenging dental implant procedure and they dealt with me with a lot of patience and compassion, explaining every step necessary, and supporting me through the long waiting periods in between stages. Dr. West is a perfectionist and ensured the outcome was natural looking and highly functional. My smile is the nicest it's been since my car accident as a teen, thanks to Dr. West.

Just had my second visit and I am hopeful to have finally found my dentist. The office is clean and comfortable as well as beautiful. The staff is amazing from greetings to goodbye. Dr. West has a gentle touch and exhibits real compassion to her patient. So far, very impressed.
