Dr. Pete Spalitto has a varied background both in experience and education. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Truman State University before attending the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School. During his time at UMKC, he served as class Vice President and was involved with the Honors Endodontics Program. After graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000, Dr. Spalitto served as a Major in the United States Army. While in the Army, he participated in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program, which provides additional concentrated learning in specific areas, such as root canals, braces, oral surgery, and many other complex procedures. During his active duty, Dr. Spalitto was able to apply his knowledge in his treatment of soldiers worldwide, including Korea and Iraq.
This experience, in addition to his more recent work in private practice in Kansas City, MO, and continuing education through professional organizations, gives Dr. Pete the understanding and knowledge to treat most dental needs you or a family member might have. His approach is comprehensive- rather than specializing in one particular treatment or procedure, he has concentrated on developing the skills needed to treat the whole spectrum of dental health needs that arise throughout a persons life. Dr. Spalitto is also committed to continually learning about the most recent advances in the dental field. He participates in the St. Louis chapter of the Seattle Study Club, is a member of the Greater St. Louis Dental Association, Missouri and American Dental Association.
In his spare time, Dr. Pete enjoys spending time with his wife, Susan, and their children, Olivia, Anna and Henry. If he isnt working on one of his many household improvement projects, you can often find him out on the golf course or enjoying time at the family farm.
