A native son of South Carolina, Dr. Cope achieved his undergraduate degree in biology from The Citadel. Moving on to dental school, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. His passion is creating a personalized patient experience, while utilizing the latest in modern dental technology and techniques.
As a practicing dentist since 2009, he is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Greater Columbia Dental Association, and the Columbia Implant Association. He also serves as a volunteer at the Lexington County Childrens Clinic.
Because we believe long-term relationships matter, nearly all of our team members (administrative, assistants, hygienists) have faithfully served our patients for almost a decade. Although their extensive experience is invaluable, it's their passion for people that makes your personalized dentistry a unique experience and leaves a legacy that goes beyond dental care.

Great dentist with a great staff! I've been going to West Columbia Dental since 1989 I think... I don't really remember when I started. I"ve never had a bad experience there. I've had cavities filled, wisdom teeth removed, a crown and mostly I've gotten checkups regularly. They've got records of my teeth and they help me with my dental health.

I had a very good experience with Dr Brantley and West Columbia Dental today. It has been a while since I've been to a dentist, and I was apprehensive, as you can imagine. After x-rays and an exam, Dr. Brantley explained how they could work with me to "catch up" on my dental care, and make it happen within my comfort zone. Well, let's get started.....

Dr. Cope and staff are amazing. They are always so helpful and go the extra mile for just regular cleanings to the dental procedures. You are recognized and greeted by name as soon as you walk in and that in itself goes a long way for me!(not just a number). I recommend them to anyone who ask. Thanks for all you do! Unfortunately I have needed several crowns over the last decade. I had problems with the previous dentist I had getting the crowns to fit correctly and required multiple return visits until my bite was correct. Dr. Cope placed an implant crown and got it right the first time. My bite was right from the moment I walked out of the office and I could not tell I had a crown done. It felt like a natural tooth. Also the business office is very friendly and professional and knowledgeable about insurance. I highly recommend Dr. Cope and his office. Patty Russell

I recently became a new patient of Dr. Cope. I have had several crowns done in the past...my prior dentists took molds, gave me a temporary crown (that often came out), then brought me back later to get the permanent crown. It was a lengthy and tiresome process. Dr. Cope has the latest technology in his office that allows him to make the permanent crown in his office. Just one visit, and I left with a crown that fits perfectly. And, the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Cope.

West Columbia Dental is a step above the competition, you take notice the second you open the door. The environment is pleasant and they have a wonderful and very knowledgeable staff. When you're there you know you are in good hands and when you leave you know you just received the best care. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone looking for that genuine experience. 5 stars and I'd leave more if they let me.

Its been quite some time since I went to the dentist. I spent several days researching dentist in my area to get back in my routine. I visited West Columbia Dental and was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, personable connections with patients, cleanliness of the office and exam rooms, and treating me like I was the only patient that day.
