Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

First, let me say that going to a dentist makes me anxious because of numerous past bad experiences. West Cobb Dentist Office far exceeded my initial expectations and Dr. Michelle Houston put me at ease almost immediately. Her calm and informing manner was superb along with answering any questions or concerns I had. I highly recommend her.

My experience with West Cobb Dentist Office has been life changing. My son recommended Dr. Houston. Even though the office is a 30 minute drive it has been well worth it. I went with several missing teeth. The doctor discovered a couple old crowns where improperly placed. Underneath the teeth were badly decayed and had to be removed. Now I was missing 3 molars on the upper right and 3 on the lower left. And a chipped front tooth to boot! We worked out a plan for dental implants. It's taken almost a year but now I have no missing teeth and a beautiful smile just in time for Thanksgiving. The staff is empathetic and caring. I was never surprised with what my out of pocket costs would be. They took care of all insurance submissions. This helped a great deal in planning the journey. I'm extremely claustrophobic. Dr. Houston made sure that I was comfortable during each procedure. That meant a lot to me and made the experience an enjoyable one. For many people, going to the dentist is a dreaded experience as it used to be for. I highly recommend West Cobb Dentist Office. For me it is now a part of my health care that I look forward to.

Haven't been to the dentist in over a decade. I was treated professionally , with a huge amount of sympathy and care. I will recommend anyone I know to visit here. You made my visit painless and explained everything to me before you started. I'm smiling even better now thanks to the best dentist in West Cobb.

Dr. Houston and staff provide extraordinary service in a beautiful facility with the latest technology. They explain the reason for and cost of each procedure along with out of pocket costs and payment options. Highly recommend this facility.

Coming to the dentist is more often than not associated with the expectation of experiencing pain. I have had quite the opposite experience at West Cobb Dentist. Michelle Houston and her staff take great care of patients and her skills put me at ease on the aforementioned concerns. Rest assured you are in great hands.

Practically standing on your head, with a couple of implements in your mouth .... well not the best of situations. However, the person handling the cleaning was VERY PROCESSIONAL and made the situation a PLUS!!!

My husband and I found this dental office after we moved to the West Cobb/Paulding area, and we both have been very pleased!! ALL of the staff here are friendly and pleasant and display a lot of patient-centered care. Everything is carefully and patiently explained and they go out of their way to ensure a comfortable experience. I am usually a very nervous dental patient and I had avoided dentists for a long time because of that. Dr Houston and her team were able to make my procedures calm , pain-free and smooth. You are in GREAT hands here and you can feel confident and assured of terrific treatment.

I was in the area visiting my daughter when my crown broke. West Cobb Dentist office was able to get me in the next day. I saw Dr. Aguilera, who was so great. She was able to replace the crown in the same visit. She was very kind, as well as her whole staff. I've since called them and asked to have my X-rays sent to my current dentist in another state and they did it right away. Very impressed with their whole team. I highly recommend them.

I am deathly afraid of dentists. From my first interaction with Margaret on my call she made me feel informed and she was so pleasant. It took me over a month to fine this dentist location again as I had called several. Finally I heard Margaret answered the phone I was elated. I came in today for my consult and wasn't disappointed. The entire staff has been exceptional. Kudos to Edwin who did my X-rays. He noticed a tear in my eyes and immediately comforted me and gave me a tissue. I was in no pain at all. It was just my nerves. Dr. Aguilera is wonderful, patient and informative.

Probably don't hear people say this about a dentist office, but I love it here and have a great time! I drive almost an hour for my cleanings and other services because I feel comfortable and taken care of. Everyone is friendly, personable, they make sure you are okay throughout the entire process, and they have really awesome modern technology. Their teamwork and communication is awesome, and it's always a pleasure to spend time with them. I genuinely enjoy being at the dentist while I'm there. The advice and recommendations I've received since going have made a huge impact on the overall health of my teeth and gums as well. I don't see myself going anywhere else.

To start off... I like most do not like going to the dentist...I have put off for 5+ years going to see one as I would rather deal with a little tooth pain now and then, then the thought of the pain of a tooth pull. With that being said...I was referred to Dr. Houston to at least have an exam to see what I needed to have done to rid my teeth pains. From the moment I called the frontend reception staff to Rob the office manager, the x-ray tech to the other wonderful staff at this office was amazing. I ended up having to have a few teeth pulled and I'm not sure what Dr. Houston's magic is but I felt no pain and was in and out in about an hour. She was very kind and caring and very informative and if at anytime I did feel any type of pain she would stop and numb more and then proceed. I would have to say if all dentist were like this I wouldn't have waited so long to go back! This experience has changed my way of thinking about the horrible dental experiences in the past. I will definitely be making future appoints at this office with Dr Houston. 24hrs after procedure and have not felt any pain from the surgery. Life is great again! Thank you Dr. Houston and the West Cobb Dentist Staff!!

Dr Houston is amazing. She is patient, compassionate, gentle, and kind...all things I want in my dentist. I used to be TERRIFIED of the dentist and she and her staff make me so comfortable that I have no fears and love seeing them.
