Beth was born and raised in Long Island in the town of Wantagh. She graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1982, where she was awarded the Certificate of Merit in Pediatric Dentistry. Upon graduation from Emory, she did a general practice residency in New Orleans at the VA Hospital, affiliated with Charity Hospital and LSU.
After her residency, she returned to Georgia where she opened her own private practice. She remained there until she gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, in 1992. She still enjoyed practicing dentistry, but her time was clearly divided and life was changing for the better, as it has a way of doing.
She is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. She remains an active member of the Hinman Dental Society, and an annual host for national speakers each year during their big meeting in March at the Georgia World Congress Center. Beth is also an active member of the local Spear Study Club with local specialists where she keeps her education continually fresh and up to date with the most current methods available to her patients for their optimum care.
She has been happily married to her college sweetheart and fellow Duke graduate, Bentley for 35 years. Her three grown children have flown the nest and are thriving with very busy and successful adult lives and careers. So she now enjoys her free time traveling, playing tennis, attending concerts, enjoying nature and the outdoors.
Dr. Cathy Vaughan was raised in the Finger Lakes Region of New York state. She attended Niagara University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In the early 1980s she attended Emory University School of Dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She also completed an additional year of training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Emory University. In the 1980s, Dr. Cathy began her practice in Cobb County. For over 20 years, she shared a dental office with her sister, Dr. Patricia Kimmerling. Upon Dr. Kimmerlings retirement, Dr. Cathy joined the practice at West Cobb Dental Designs.
Dr. David Croxton has been a practicing dentist since 1989 in the West Cobb area. He moved from Virginia to the Atlanta area in 1978 where he finished high school in Dunwoody. He attended the University of Georgia for undergraduate studies and received his DMD degree from Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Croxton finished both undergrad and dental school in a record 3 years each.
Providing patients with up to date dental care with the latest advancements in dentistry is his passion. This requires constant continuing education and a strong commitment to education. Dr. Croxton has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education with special emphasis on surgical aspects of implant dentistry, restorative dentistry, and cosmetic and facial esthetics. Dr. Bumgarner was born in East Tennessee and grew up in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. He graduated high school in Bartow, Florida. From there he moved to Atlanta to attend Emory University and earned a degree in psychology with a minor in biology. After graduation from Emory, Dr. Bumgarner worked for several years as a virologist for the state Health Department in Atlanta and then returned to Emory to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Emory University School of Dentistry.

First off, Dr. Croxton is awesome. Im so happy I found them. I love this office and would recommend because of the operating hours and patient care. My dental hygienist Isabella was super nice and professional. My teeth feel and look amazing.

I love all the staff at this world class dental office. The front desk professionals, the hygeniests, the dentists ( especially Dr. Croxton) are positively motivated in their jobs and most motivating for their patients. Wow- the staff and team at West Cobb Dental Designs are simply amazing. I had a dental emergency and they were able to get me in immediately. Dr. Croxton is a very kind and skilled dentist. The same can be said for Corolla, Dental Hygienist. ----------- 01/27/2022 update. Isabella is a very skilled professional Dental Hygienist. I've been going to West Cobb Dental Designs for nearly 20 years. Everyone is always very friendly and are the best at what they do. I had a dental cleaning done by Tori last week. She was exceptional.

I love Dr. Bumgarner and his hygienist. Unfortunately, my experience, was that the quality of some of the administrative support was quite poor. 1. I was told the office performs root canals...they do not. 2. Improperly charged me for services my insurance covers. 3. Observed a receptionist exhibit very unprofessional and rude behavior towards another staff member. The staff member asked her to fax over my x-rays to the endodontist office. 4. The other receptionist was rude towards me when I inquired about a refund of FSA funds. 5. The office isn't willing to give refunds in the original form of payment...must send you a check. 6. Reached out to the office manager twice and she never returned my calls.

This was my first visit and such a good experience. Everyone in the office was friendly and attentive. I am so bad at names but hygienist was awesome. She gave me a gentle thorough cleaning. I really liked Dr. Croton too. So relieved to find a great dentist in my network.
