Dr. Connie Verhagen is a native of Muskegon and attended Western Michigan Christian High School. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan in 1986. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Verhagen completed her pediatric specialty training in a two-year residency program and earned a Master of Science in pediatric dentistry in 1988, also from the University of Michigan. She started her dental career working as a dental assistant in the very same practice where she is now a dentist.
Dr. Verhagen is passionate about pediatric dentistry and the dental profession. She is a highly active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Michigan Dental Association, Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Muskegon District Dental Society.
Dr. Verhagen feels truly blessed to be able to fulfill her lifelong dream of making a difference in the lives of children. She and her husband Dr. Michael Cerminaro are active members of their church. They also believe in giving back to the community by volunteering with community organizations. They enjoy cooking, taking long walks on the beach and spending time with their dogs, Marlee Rae and Maggie Mae.
They are a wonderful group of ladies who have a genuine love for children. Their friendly smiles, gentle ways, and patient attitudes are responsible for their success in calming fears and turning frowns to smiles.
Dr. Verhagen carefully selected a professional team based on experience, skill, education, and personality. The result is an office that delivers an absolutely unrivaled level of expert care to each and every patient. We find children do very well with dental procedures when given gentle direction and careful explanations from our highly trained team.
We constantly apply a technique known as Tell-Show-Do. We tell the children what we are going to do in terms they can easily understand. Then we demonstrate it to them. And then we do it. The technique is as effective as it is simple. It takes a bit more time, but the results are well worth it.

I love coming to West Coast Pediatrics with my children. The staff is so professional and phenomenal to work with. My 3 daughters have been coming for routine appointments for the past 8 years we all love the fast friendly service received. They all deserve 10 stars across the board. Dr. Connie and her staff are the best! My 5 year old daughter has special needs and wasn't having successful dental appointments until we came to West Coast Pediatric Dentistry. They are patient and completely accommodating to her needs. Her neuro-typical twin brother goes there too and loves seeing the two extremely friendly and cute golden retrievers roaming around during his appointment. The twins now look forward to their dentist appointments!

I went here as a kid and loved it now my son is a patient. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend All these bad reviews are all about nit being able to go back with your kids look I wasn't able to go back with my kids my mom couldn't go back with me and we all survived. Parents these days need to stop being so sensitive.
