Dr. Sophia Thankaraj graduated with her dental degree from India. She did her post-doctoral training in a general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH where she earned her certification in conscious sedation. She served as Chief Resident in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Miami Valley Hospital (MVH).
She is on Medical Staff at MVH where she holds a faculty position in the GRP Program. She works with Dental Residents to provide access to dental care for underserved and special needs patients in the community.
She is caring, gental, patient and passionate about providing quality dental care to her patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Dayton Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Manjula Natarajan (Dr. Manju) graduated from dental school in India in 1997, she practiced dentistry in a well established hospital for a few years before following her husband to the United States. After coming to the US, she completed her two years of advanced standing dental program at University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Manju has been practicing general/family dentistry since 2004 in the Dayton area. She attends many continuing education courses to keep up with the latest in dental techniques to provide her patients with a beautiful and healthy smile.
West Chester Dental Group is proud to announce the newest addition to our expert dental team; Dr. Kyle Detavernier. Dr. Detavernier has lived in Michigan his entire life until his move to West Chester to join our team. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Human Biology. After college, Dr. Detavernier worked as a dental assistant where he discovered his love for dentistry. He then attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Detavernier is a member of the American Dental Association and soon to be a member of the Ohio Dental Association. He has traveled to Guatemala as part of a mission trip, providing dentistry to those that dont have easy access or the monetary means to receive dental care. He hopes to go back to Guatemala one day as well as travel to other parts of the world.
