Dr. Patel is a 1997 graduate from Mercer School of Engineering following which he trained at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and then the Cleveland Clinic. After completing a year of private practice in Cleveland, Dr. Patel decided to settle in Cary, NC.
Dr. Patel is married and resides in Cary with his wife Anu and children Sohum and Siya. He is an active member of various community service organizations. He enjoys traveling, playing tennis and meeting new people. He looks forward to treating you and your family with his team.
Shelley joined the team recently with extensive training including the US Air Force as well as private practice. She brings positive energy and exceptional clinical ability. She has two grown daughters and a granddaughter. She enjoys concerts, yoga and cooking. She is excited to meet patients and assist with their dental needs.
Sherry completed her hygiene training over 20 years ago and joined our team in 2005. She is an extremely warm and caring individual who has excellent clinical abilities. She resides in Holly Springs with her husband and two boys.
Tammy completed her dental hygiene training over 30 years ago as she joined our team in 2016. What she loves most about her career is the one-on-one relationships she is able to build with patients while partnering for optimal oral health. Tammy and her husband reside in Moore County where they reside with their son.

When you walk in they make you feel comfortable when they call you to the back the nurse so kind and the doctor whose not scare of the dentist I am well they made me so comfortable and care thank you see you guy's next Thursday

West Cary Dental is absolutely fantastic. Dr. Patel and his staff take excellent care of their patients. Lorraine and Peggy are always a joy to be welcomed by when entering the office. Tammy has been my dental hygienist since becoming a patient of West Cary Dental over a year ago, and I greatly appreciate the her diligence, knowledge, and care when cleaning my teeth. I'm also surprised how much she remembers about me even though I only see her twice a year. Dr. Patel is a very professional, attentive, and transparent dentist who always makes sure my questions are answered. I highly recommend West Cary Dental to anyone looking for a dentist.

West Cary Dental is fantastic. Dr. Amit Patel and his staff are very friendly and excellent at what they do. Both my wife and I have requested Shari for cleanings for years. She is the best dental hygienist we've ever experienced. Very kind, caring, and just great at her job. Dr. Patel (and Lorraine front desk) are the same. I have never been one to love going to the dentist, but West Cary Dental actually makes it a very enjoyable experience each time I do.
