Dr. Hwang has been practice for 12 years. In 2012, Dr. Hwang started residency in the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He made top resident out of 13 residents in 2013 and 2014. During that time, he taught first, and third year dental students as well as dentists in continuing education courses.
Dr. Hwang, his wife and their 9 year-old son have been enjoying traveling over the United States. They are beginning to enjoy the game of golf and appreciate the nature that the Northwest has to offer.
Dr. Hwang will plan and design your implant replacement, surgically place the implant and fit the replacement teeth himself from the beginning to the end. Dr. Hwang can also restore any crowns that may be damaged or faulty on other teeth you may have to renew your smile and restore your confidence.
Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing or extracted teeth. They are better than other alternatives like bridges because no additional teeth need to be altered to place the new tooth.
The entire implant process is performed over the course of a few months. The first part of the process is to install the implant itself. The implant is placed into the jaw bone through and an incision made in the gum. Multiple implants can be placed at once if necessary.
After the implant has healed it is time to place an abutment on the implant. The abutment serves as the base for your new crown. Once this is placed an impression of the abutment is taken and is used to create your permanent restoration. The impression is then sent to an outside lab. Once the restoration is completed you can return to the office to have the abutment and crown seated permanently. After a short period of getting used to the implant, it will feel just like one of your natural teeth.
The implant must be allowed about 3-6 months to heal, and during this time the jaw bone will integrate with the implant in a process called osseointegration. During this healing time, you may be able to have temporary crowns installed so that you can eat and speak normally and maintain a proper aesthetic appearance for your smile.

My mom got her implants redone here cause she was bothered by it. We came to find out that the previous doctor did an awful job where it would have been detrimental to her health, if she kept the implant. I am glad we found this doctor because he explained in detail what could have gone wrong and what he did to mediate the problem. We are very happy with the results since mom said the pain was gone and would recommend anybody to this place due to the doctors technique and integrity. We were just very lucky that Dr Hwang took us in because most dentists will not redo a job that other dentist messed up. Always be aware of too good to be deals and accept the fact that you will always get what you pay for. In our case, we got an excellent dental work at a reasonable price point. What more can you ask for?
