Dr. Derrick Tengco is a Tufts University School of Dental Medicine graduate who previously practiced in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Tengco traveled down south to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami and Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University while soaking in the South Florida sun. Dr. Tengco eventually made his way back to the Northeast to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA.
While attending Tufts, Dr. Tengco participated in many community health outreach programs volunteering his time at local VA homes and promoting oral health practices to elementary schools. In his free time, Dr. Tengco enjoys spending time with his family and cooking in the kitchen to one day be able to serve a proper Filipino dish that would make his grandparents proud.
Originally from Florida, Dr. Bakr Amin moved north to attend Boston University for his undergraduate studies. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in biology, he went on to earn a Master of Arts in medical studies before completing his doctorate in dental medicine at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Amins love for working with children led him to pursue a certificate of advanced graduate studies in pediatric dentistry there as well. He is passionate about educating children on the value of taking care of their oral health while making visits to the dentist fun!
Dr. Amin is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. When he isnt at the office caring for smiles, he loves cooking and trying new foods.
Since 1994, Dr. Sam Alkhoury has been changing peoples lives by giving them straighter, healthier, and more confident smiles using the power of orthodontics. He loves the relationships he forms with his patients and takes pride in being able to provide completely personalized treatments that are as comfortable as they are effective. As a teenager, Dr. Alkhourys sister needed braces, and he got to see firsthand how orthodontics was able to not only transform her smile, but her confidence as well. To hear him talk about it, he says his sister was a completely different person by the end of treatment because she felt so good about herself. He wanted to be able to help people in this same way, which is why he decided to become an orthodontist. More than 25 years into his career, he couldnt be happier with his decision!
After graduating with honors from Boston University with his dental degree, Dr. Alkhoury went on to complete a residency in Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the renowned New York University. Since finishing school, he has been awarded by the American Association of Orthodontists for the quality of service and care he provides for his patients. The whole office is amazing my son has autism had a really horrible experience with a previous dentist the staff took the time and have an amazing culture of care. The dentist is so kind and great with my son he's very knowledgeable and is willing to do what will work for each of his patients circumstances no cookie cutter factory mill type here genuine kind care

I had a dental emergency and was booked immediately even as a first time patient. Everyone in the office was extremely courteous and professional. I high recommend this dentist office to anyone looking for a new dentist as they make you feel very comfortable.

The front desk staff was great, the building is very interesting looking and my hygienists did a good job cleaning my teeth. My only complaint is that the dentist who looked at my teeth seemed very rushed and talked to my hygienist rather than talking directly to me. I don't think he gave me eye contact at all. It made me feel like I didn't matter and that he was too busy for me. He also started talking to my hygienist about another patient during which time she politely asked to talk to him about that later. It wasn't a bad experience but I was disappointed with the dentist. I really would of appreciated him speaking to me about the condition of my teeth so I could have an understanding of what was going on. In my home state my dentist would show me my x-rays and talk directly to me about what was happening. I might have had a better experience here if I had a different dentist. I just kind of left feeling sad.

If you're looking for a new dentist, go here. You will not be disappointed. Lost a filling. Was not a patient. Super accommodating. They actually listened to my concerns. Clean, modern equipment and billing system. Staff were pleasant.

Went for my first visit and I was treated very professionally. They were very informative kept me aware of exactly what was happening at every point during my cleaning schedule a follow up appointment and the front desk was very efficient and polite.
