I enjoy watching people develop self-confidence and seeing how that confidence enhances everything they do. Sincetreatment usually takes several years, and patients come in about once a month, I am able to see these changes in real time and it never gets old!

Those regular visits also provide time to get to know patients as people. I enjoy being part of my patients lives, and hearing about their activities, social events, and successes at school or work. I thrive on the friendships we build and love helping people I care about transform their lives!

Before attending dental school and completing my specialty certification, I completed a BS and an MS in computer science and worked for several years in software development. I still love technology, but I needed a profession that gave me time to develop real relationships with people.

Im a lifelong learner and lovestaying at the forefront of developments in techniques, materials, and technologies. Each year I complete many hours of continuing orthodontic education, attend local, regional, and national seminars, and participate in lectures and seminars.

Originally from Eugene, Oregon, I have made Visalia myhome withmy family since 2011. My wifeChristenis a registered dental hygienist who grew up here, and were lucky to live near her parents. Christen and I have two young children: daughter Hazel and son Henry.

When Im not in the office, Im usually with my family. We enjoy camping and love being part of a vibrant church community. I also like riding bikes (both mountain and road), golfing, and volunteering with our local church school, where I serve on the school board.

Ive been with the practice since 2002 and youll meet me at the front desk. Ill greet and check you in, update your records, and help you schedule visits. Ill also work with you on financial matters, and I handle the insurance billing, too. If you ever have questions or need anything, dont hesitate to ask! I enjoy working with our patients from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave. Its incredible to watch each person gain confidence, and we love to celebrate their beautiful smiles!

I started working here in 2006 and love improving smiles in our community. Youll meet me in our clinic. I set up the treatment area, sterilize tools and equipment, and make sure youre comfortable in the chair. Staying chairside, Ill assist Dr. Wesslen and support you at the same time. I love seeing the progress of each person as peoplego through treatment. Everyone becomes more confident and so much happier. My family keeps me busy outside of work. My husband and I are very involved with our three childrens soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball teams. Our family also enjoys traveling and spending time with loved ones, including our dog.
