Our expert team, led by endodontic specialist Dr. Courtney Kanive, includes an experienced endodontic staff. Dr. Courtney Kanive grew up in Central Illinois. A nearby neighborand family friend was her dentist growing up. He helped foster her interest in the field of dentistry. Courtneyreceived her B.S. from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana (2000) and went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine with the honor of cum laude (2004).
She then went on to achieve a M.S. and Endodontic Specialist Certificate from Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education (2006). In 2006 she openedWentzville Endodontics. She is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater Saint Louis Dental Society.
She enjoys music, golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with her staff, friends, her parents and in-laws, and husband and two sons. She resides in Lake Saint Louis and can be contacted at drkanive@wentzvilleendo.com

My 15yr old son lost part of his front tooth during a hockey game this past weekend. After a visit to our dentist it was determined that a root canal would be necessary. With his age as a factor our dentist suggested and highly recommended that Dr. Kanive perform the root canal. I was blown away by her professionalism, calm and reassuring explanation each step of the process to ease any anxiety. I would also like to add that she closed at 4PM and literally stayed over 1 1/2 hours past closing to ensure my boy didn't have to go another day in pain. This right here alone exemplifies what an amazing and caring doctor she is. Thank you for taking such good care of my son!!!

I have severe dental anxiety and this office treated me with such respect and kindness! I didn't have any problems with any staff or any discomfort at all during my root canal. Dr. Courtney took time to answer all of my questions and I really enjoyed my experience. I've never said that about a dentist before.

This was the best experience I've had regarding a root canal. Very deft and nimble handling with the procedure. The dental assistant was professional and experienced when taking X-rays and assisting the Doctor. NO stiff aching jaw afterwards; this doctor has a delicate touch.

I had a great experience. I did not feel any pain during my root canal. She explained everything she was going to do. Very professional. And root canal didn't take long. I felt very comfortable. I definitely recommend.

Needed a possible root canal according to my dentist, but Dr Kanive could't confirm need today and suggested waiting until pain returns or review again after 6 months.

My son had to get a root canal after an accident at baseball, he was super nervous. The staff was able to walk him through the process and made him comfortable. It was a quick process, wasn't in pain, the two teeth around it were able to be saved. Called 6 months later for a follow up appointment to check the teeth out to make sure they were doing well.

I was nervous as docs in the past have had trouble getting my mouth numb which results in a stressful and painful procedure. Dr. Kanive and her assistant were amazing. I was numb and comfortable. She checked on me throughout making sure I was doing okay. I would recommend her to my friends and family.

The staff were awesome and friendly. Dr. Kanive defiantly sets the standard for how all dental professionals should compose them selves. She was kind, understanding, and explained everything well. This was my first time getting a root canal, and if I ever end up needing one in the future I will definitely be seeking her out. They do what they can to make the experience as pleasant as a root canal can get. I am now here post root canal in very little to no pain. (Mostly just irritation in the area that is typical of the procedure.) The whole experience has helped me to get over some of my dental anxiety.

Dr. Kanive was very thorough, noticing an issue in a tooth other than the tooth I was referred to her for. Her expertise was evident. She listened intently to my questions and answered honestly. Her staff was kind and personable.
