Dr. Sanger has performed many cases of teeth whitening, veneers, and white bonded fillings. She is knowledgeable on many different implant systems and incorporates aesthetics in all of her treatment plans.
Dr. Sanger encourages the very young to take an interest in their dental health by reviewing nutrition and emphasizing good oral hygiene. Teenagers are empowered to take an interest in their developing smiles as many undergo orthodontic treatment. Pregnant women may encounter various issues as the oral tissues are stressed by the developing fetus.
Both men and women can develop dental disease, and Dr. Sanger is comprehensive in her diagnosis and treatment planning. Older patients have dental concerns that may have developed as a result of medications, chemotherapy, or systemic disease.
Dr. Sanger has been recognized by the Philadelphia County Dental Society, the International College of Dentists, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the American Association of Dental Schools. She is currently an active member of the Frank Spear Study Club.
Once we determine you are a suitable candidate for dental implants, we will develop an appropriate treatment plan. Most implant procedures are broken up into two surgeries. During the first surgery, we will make a minor incision in the gum tissue to expose the underlying bone. Next, we will place the implant deep within the jawbone.
Over the next several months, the implant and your jawbone will fuse through the process of osseointegration. Osseointegration is largely responsible for the many benefits of dental implants, mimicking the natural relationship between tooth root and socket.
Once osseointegration is complete, we will schedule the second surgery to place the abutment. After the abutment is in place, we take an impression of the area. The impression will be used by our laboratory technicians to fabricate your final restoration. Once your restoration is ready, we will permanently attach it to the implant post.
