Dr. Thomas Breithaupt has over 25 years of experience practicing all phases of general dentistry with a strong emphasis on prevention and restorative work ie., fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures and implants.
A native of Princeton since 1972, Dr. Breithaupt is a 1982 graduate of Randolph-Macon College and graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in 1987. Dr Tom (as he is known throughout the community) recognizes learning never ceases and studies extensively the latest techniques and products through both literature and Continuing Education Courses.
Recognized as a leader by his peers, Dr. Breithaupt has served as the President of the Mercer Dental Society, member of the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA) Board of Trustees, is a past Chairman of the Young Professional's Council of the NJDA, and is a past recipient of the Young Dentist of the Year Award by the NJDA in the past.
Dr. Peter M. Lewis received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Virginia. He received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970. Following three years of associateship in a reconstructive dental practice, he opened his private practice in Princeton, New Jersey in 1974.
Dr. Lewis practices general dentistry, though his field of expertise is in all phases of cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, including implant-assisted oral reconstruction, fixed and removable prosthodontics and cosmetic procedures.

"Dr Tom" always takes the best of care of anybody he sees. He has changed my entire smile over the years and made me so happy that words cannot describe it. I just visited as a first-time patient, and the whole experience was easy, comforting and efficient. Rayanne (sp?) was considerate in scheduling me and even reached out a few times to see if I could take an opening that had come available (I had asked to get in as soon as possible). Dr. Tom has a warm and soothing presence and takes his time to educate throughout the visit. I left feeling confident in my treatment plan.

We recently switched to Dr. Breithaupt and we were delighted with the experience from start to finish - the scheduling, check-in, exam, cleaning, consultation, everything. Dr. Breithaupt really knows his stuff and treats you as a both a person and a patient, providing explanation and options on treatment and involving you in the decision-making. It was such a pleasant change from the "move 'em in, move 'em out, bill everything eligible under insurance, needed or not" approach that you see in so many places nowadays. I highly recommend his practice!!

While on a road trip across the country, we stopped into the office for an emergency appointment because I was feeling intense pain after a root canal. Not only did Dr. Breithaupt stay after normal working hours to meet with me, he was patient and took the time to talk through what I was experiencing and helped to resolve my pain. If I don't find a dentist where I am moving, I will 100% travel the 4 hours back down to Princeton to meet with him, that is how much I would recommend this office.
