Wendell Family Dentistry - General dentist in Wendell, NC

It is truly an honor and blessing to have the privilege to care for my patients. I recognize it takes a great deal of trust, for many people, to place their oral health and smile in my hands. Thats why I strive to establish a connection with each patient, based on open and honest communication.

I want every person to feel comfortable telling me about their goals, as well as any fears they might have. I will listen, without judgment, and work with them to find a care approach they are comfortable with.

I take being a dentist very seriously, because of the levels of trust and responsibility involved. I want to make a positive, lasting difference in the lives of each of my patients: helping them to maintain their teeth for a lifetime, and ensuring they have a confident, beautiful, and healthy smile.

Im most passionate about educating my patients about the advancements that make dental visits easier, quicker, and painless. There are many techniques and materials that werent available even ten years ago, and those have improved the patient experience. I love sharing that with people.

Each year I take many hours of continuing dental education. This ensures I remain current with ongoing changes in the field and am able to offer my patients access to the best care options. I have focused a lot on implant dentistry. Other courses have included cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, Invisalign training, and complex restorative treatement. I also maintain the following certifications:

Additionally, Ive served asthe part-time staff dentist for the Samaritan Health Center at the Durham Rescue Mission.I also volunteer my time with other dental clinics, including Wake Smiles, Baptist Mens Bus, and Missions of Mercy. As an office, we host one free dental day a year to serve those without access to care.

When not treating patients, Dr. Brantley enjoys training dentists from all over the country and Canada on how to use the Solea hard and soft tissue laser as well CEREC CAD/CAM dentistry. He lectures in the Wendell Learning Center (located above Wendell Family Dentistry) and periodically throughout the country.

I grew up right here in Wendell and recently moved back to the town that helped raise me.My wife Lindsay and I have been married since 2009. We have 2lovely young daughters, Caroline Grace and Ainsley Rae.

When not working, Im usually spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy staying fit through working out, running, and swimming. Im an avid reader, who can sometimes be found gardening and tackling yard projects.

Dr. ChristopherVowas born, raised and educated in Eastern North Carolina. He attended East Carolina University as an EC Scholar where he earned his B.S. in biology. Following graduation he was accepted to UNCs School of Dentistry where he earned his D.D.S. degree. During dental school Dr.Vofocused on learning the newest dental technologies and applying them in some of most advanced forms of dental treatment. While both in undergrad and dental school, Dr.Vovolunteered with the North Carolina Missions of Mercy and continues to provide dental care to underserved patients across the state. Dr.Voalso volunteers as an adjunct instructor with the UNC School of Dentistry and enjoys working with dental students at these volunteer clinics.

As a dentist, Dr.Vostrongly focuses on two things: patient education and preventive healthcare. While he enjoys helping patients correct their dental problems, he tells folks that the most valuable service that he can offer is to help them avoid dental problems. Achieving that goal starts with helping patients first understand why their natural, healthy teeth are - almost always -better than anything that he can offer as a replacement and then secondly helping patients preserve and protect what they naturally have. The result? Less time drilling and filling. More time enjoying the things that really matter in life.

Combining his interests in dentistry and the visual arts, Dr.Voworks closely with other small business owner dentists helping them establish their practice brands and developing authentic ways to market themselves and their practices. At Wendell Family Dentistry, Dr.Vodirects marketing efforts as well as the practices community involvement. Dr.Voalso works closely with Dr. Brantley at the Wendell Learning Center (located above Wendell Family Dentistry) and gives marketing/branding presentations to fellow dentists.

Outside of dentistry, Dr.Voenjoys photography and making short films (often times about teeth). During spring and summer you might find me dripping sweat on the tennis court or at NCs crystal coast fishing or digging clams with his friends, family and English setter, Ladybird. He understands he looks very young and has been known to joke that he plans 'to go back to high school if this whole dentistry thing doesnt work out.

I have always thought that the best quality a person has is their smile. That is why I am super excited to have joined this wonderful team of smile makers! Having a background in the medical field, I know how crucial our health and well being can be. Dental care is a very important part of that, so joining a practice that does such a great job at helping people is huge for me! Being on the admin team, I get a chance to talk to a lot of patients and learn about their lives, which makes my job so enjoyable. It also gives me the opportunity to provide a positive experience from the moment they walk into our doors.

Growing up I moved around a few times but finally settled in the Zebulon community with my husband and our fur babies. When Im not working I enjoy experimental cooking and spending quality time with family and friends, especially outdoors. I also have a great interest in live music, traveling and experiencing new things, portrait photography, riding horses when I get the chance, and spending time with the Lord. I feel extremely blessed to have been given the opportunity to make a difference in the Wendell community and I look forward to meeting each one of you!

I like building relationships with people during their visits. Everyone has their own stories to share, and I enjoy hearing them. Those conversations create a bond and we often become friends. Im new to both the dental field and our practice, having become part of our team in 2014. In addition to assisting our doctors when needed, I spend a lot of time interacting with patients. I schedule their visits and handle insurance and personal payments, too.

I live in the Corinth Holder Community with my husband Ricky, daughters Jordan and Morgan, and granddaughter Kamdyn. I enjoy spending my free time with my girls, riding motorcycles with Ricky, and going to the beach.

I feel incredibly blessed to be able to join such an awesome team. I started my dental career in 2007 and have enjoyed every moment of it. I love being able to meet new people and build relationships with our patients, all while helping them coordinate their treatment needs so they can have a healthy, beautiful smile.

I was born and raised in Roanoke Rapids, NC but relocated to the Raleigh area in 2007. My husband Matt and I currently reside in Clayton with our two children Addison and Rhett. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time at the beach and relaxing with my family!

I am so excited to be joining the Wendell Family and Laser Dentistry family. Although I am new to the world of dentistry I have many years experience in the medical field. My experience includes scheduling, billing and working with insurance companies. I enjoyed helping people so much that it lead me to become a certified practitioner in orthotics. Patient satisfaction has always been my main objective and seeing how happy my patients were. The warm and caring atmosphere is what I like most about Wendell Family and Laser Dentistry. Everyone here puts patients first and with such compassion.

My dental career started in 2009 after graduating from dental hygiene school at Halifax Community College. I am a firm believer in establishing rapport and trust with my patients. My favorite part of my job is meeting and establishing long-lasting relationships with my patients! I love being able to help my patients improved their oral health, overall health, and life in general! Dr. Brantley and the team make work enjoyable because we have similar interests and same outlook and goals for our patients and this practice!

I am from Nash County, am the oldest of four children, and enjoy the outdoors. I love the water whether it be the lake or the beach, hunting and fishing, and getting together with friends and family for cookouts and such. I am very blessed for all that I have in life and I thank God and give him the glory for all my many blessings!

I worked front desk to assisting where needed prior to graduating with my dental hygiene degree in 2003. I worked in Wendell as hygienist for more than 10 years before my career path took me to Raleigh for a couple years. I learned a lot of valuable information and technology, but always missed the people of Wendell. We are members of Wendell Baptist Church and active in BSF. I kept hearing about a new dentist in Wendell, that brought the technology of Raleigh to a warm inviting atmosphere in Wendell. Everything fell in place for me to become part of Dr. Brantley's vision, which each team member believes in. We truly love our time together and with our patients.

Dentistry is the gateway to total health. We know inflammation plays a big role in most disease processes. Dr. Brantley gives us the tools, time, training and resources to give the best total care to our patients. Treating, preventing gum disease and reducing inflammation has far reaching benefits. We want to get to to know you and be your lifetime dental home.

I do enjoy my time at Wendell Family Dentistry. When I am not at the office, my favorite activity is spending time with my wonderful family I have been so blessed with. There is never a dull moment. My family and I love spending time outdoors, the simple things can be the most fun!

I knew I wanted to be a dental hygienist when I was only fourteen years old. My childhood hygienist was my mentor and taught me so much. I graduated from Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists at Massachusetts College if Pharmacy in Boston. I am very passionate about forming relationships with my patients. I enjoy listening to what they have to say and learning what is important to them. My favorite part of my job is helping my patients understand that they hold the key to their own health; oral and general. I am from just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, I love all Boston sports and cheer them on fiercely! I enjoy reading, cooking and working out. I am married with 3 children, two daughters who are 10 and 3 and an 8 year old son. I also have two labs, Hazel and Mookie.

I strongly believe in trusting Gods timing and leaving everything in His hands.. so when I was given the opportunity to join Wendell Family Dentistry I knew I was right where I needed to be! I graduated from Halifax Community College and received my dental hygiene license in 2020. Although my career in dentistry has only begun, I am always striving to be the best provider I can be for my patients. I am eager to continue growing in my career, and I know WFD, the patients, and the entire team, will give me just that and more. I was born and raised in Nash County with my 3 siblings. My parents are originally from Mexico and we love to visit whenever we get the chance. I absolutely love traveling and exploring places Ive never been to. On my free time, I love to stay busy, whether its going to the gym, hanging out with family and friends, and going on many, many Target runs!

What an exciting part of my life to be working with such an amazing group of people at Wendell Family Dentistry. For twenty five years Ive learned not only skills for dental care but how to educate my patients on the importance of having good oral health. I enjoy bonding with my patients and understand that coming to see us may not always be easy for them, therefore I keep my heart open to be compassionate to their needs.

I grew up here in Wendell and still live here with my husband Joseph of fifteen years and our two beautiful children James Christian and Poppy Grace. Away from the office I enjoy being with my family and friends. I love spending lots of time at the beach relaxing and enjoying Gods wonderful creation! I look forward to getting to know all of you, thank you for allowing me to care for you and your family.

It was truly a gift from God to be placed at such an amazing office with such a caring team. I am currently at Wake Tech community college in the dental assisting program and have been interning at Wendell family dentistry for almost 6 months. It has been the greatest opportunity to be accepted at the office and taught so many important elements of working together as a team. The doctors here are phenomenal at teaching and explaining every detail about important situations.

Since I have been here, I have met so many wonderful teammates, which I consider family, and some amazing patients which I have learned interesting stories about. Its not everyday that you find a practice with this much love and compassion for each other and myself. I am blessed beyond measures as I continue my journey here at Wendell family dentistry!

3.5 stars First of all, I want to say how friendly the entire staff was that I encountered from scheduling my appt, to check in, exam, & check out. Juanita & Dr. Coco were exceptionally phenomenal. I was impressed. I decided to leave my former dental office after they kept trying to do unnecessary things to me to make money - recommending braces (I've never been told I needed them) to wanting to replace fillings just because. Wendell Family Dentistry came highly recommended by a friend. I called to make my appointment a couple months ago & gave my insurance at time of scheduling. I didn't find out until I checked in for my appt that they are not in network. Yes, I should have paid attention to my plan (that's my fault). I reluctantly paid $66 (vs this $34 I normally do) & was told when insurance sends me the check to call them to pay the balance. Ok, that's fine. I now know for next time. I got my check from insurance the other day for $201 & yet a bill from Wendell Family for $267. I called & spoke to Leslie as Shari was unavailable. Leslie told me it was my responsibility to know my insurance & all their patients know they only take BCBS. She told me they would have told me if I had asked. As a new patient, that was not once relayed to me until I checked in. I ended up paying $132 for a cleaning with my insurance when I could have paid $34. I was shocked at the lack of professional courtesy in that regard. Being in the "Healthcare" field for 22 years & 16 of those years being in eyecare, it's always been a professional courtesy that not only places I've worked have offered all patients either wanting an exam or even glasses but so has every type of doctor I've personally dealt with. If a patient calls, when we ask about insurance & they give us one to put on file, we tell them if we take it or not. Y'all take only one, so I personally feel that the courtesy of a heads up would help. Again, I want to stress how great everyone was from check in, to the exam, to check out...and again, yes, being in the Healthcare field, I knew better about being up to date on my insurance coverage but the lack of communication & failure to inform prior to the appointment & dealing with even more out of pocket after the exam left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope in the future that a simple "We only take BCBS" will be considered when scheduling any new patients. If you have BCBSNC, I do recommend this facility. I, unfortunately, will be going elsewhere

Wendell Family Dentistry, I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone I come in contact with. From the first call I made to set my appointments up for myself and my family was a great experience. The ladies at the front desk were kind and welcoming and made booking a smooth process. When they called to confirm my appointments and make sure I received the emails that were sent, it was an extra added personal touch that was appreciated. Adriann Bryant, my dental hygienist was the warmest and kindest person. She walked me through the process step by step and explained what the visit looked like. Adriann was extremely easy to talk to and I felt comfortable immediately. Even at checkout I didn't feel rushed and my paperwork was explained in detail as well. My experience at this dentist office, was top notch and nothing I had ever experienced. My 7 & 5 year old were so excited and they have not stop talking about their visit.

The absolute best dental office I've ever been to. If you are a person with dental related anxiety or phobias, this is a great place for you. Warm, friendly people will greet you at the desk every visit, and super knowledgable staff will help you understand every step of your dental care process. Adriann is a fantastic technician and really helped put me at ease (I am not exaggerating when I say I am terrified of going to the dentist even for simple procedures!) Adriann's sweet, empathetic, and educational approach was very helpful for me and I looked forward to seeing her each visit. Dr. Vo is also an excellent dentist! He is very calm, super intelligent, and very meticulous in his work. I had a filling, a chip repair on my front tooth, and a nightguard fitting all done by him and was very pleased with his work. You will absolutely not regret choosing this place for your dental care!

This is without a doubt the best dentistry office that I have ever visited. The doctors, medical assistants, and office staff all treat me as if I'm the only patient there. They create an atmosphere of professionalism and act like one big happy family. They have seen me one a same day or next day request when I have serious problems with my mouth. They very much adhere to their patient first motto.

Dr Cocoa (I'm not sure how to spell it) was equally as caring and kind and knowledgeable. This practice showed such compassion and empathy for my husband medical condition and made him feel so at ease. I can't say thank you enough and if your looking for a dentist please contact them,I promise you won't be disappointed

If you are searching for a new dentist Wendell Family Dentistry is the BEST! The staff are wonderful and the dentist are too! They value your time as well! I don't think I have ever waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room before every visit! (Our family of 5 are all patients!) They take wonderful care of children as well! (All 3 of our children are under 10 years old)

I cannot say enough about W.F.D. I'm a new patient and just had my teeth cleaned today by Leslie. My teeth have never been as clean as they are now and I was comfortable the entire visit. I absolutely love this place and the staff that I have met so far. Dr. Vo has the best bedside manner and you can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. I never thought I would say that I enjoyed a trip to the dentist but I have.
