Dr. Welton was born in Fresno, California where he lived until 1984 when he left to attend Brigham Young University for his pre-dental education. He completed his studies at BYU in 1990, with a two-year hiatus to serve as a missionary in Chile, graduating with a BS in Zoology.
Dr. Welton earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1994. He received numerous honors/awards for outstanding scholastic and clinical achievements in dentistry including the A. D. Williams Scholarship and the award for Outstanding Achievement in Restorative Dentistry. Nationally he is honored as an inductee to the honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Welton received his orthodontic specialty training at MCV which he completed in 1996.
After completing his orthodontic specialty training Dr. Welton returned to Utah to establish a private practice. Since opening his practice he has treated thousands of patients comprising the full spectrum of orthodontic problems, from simple crowding to complex treatments involving oral surgery. Dr. Welton believes that the benefits of orthodontic treatment are more than just beautiful teeth and the proper function of the mouth. Beyond that is the positive social and psychological impact treatment has on patients. For him, the greatest result of orthodontic treatment is to see a timid and self-conscious patient become confident and outgoing as a result of treatment.
In order to stay current with the latest advances in orthodontics, Dr. Welton regularly attends continuing education courses and is excited about the increasing use of technology in orthodontic treatment.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Welton and his office staff. You never have to wait and they are always on time with appointments. They were flexible with scheduling my appointments too. My teeth turned out great and they are more affordable than the fancy offices perks you pay for with other offices. They have a nice clean office, minus the arcade and other stuff you don't need to pay for when getting orthodontics work. I highly recommend them to anyone I know.

Welton Orthodontics is the best! We have had 3 kids go there. They are priced really well, appointments are easily scheduled and fast. Dr.Welton and his staff are amazing! I am so glad we found them! They are awesome!!

I am so grateful to have chose this orthodontist, especially during COVID. They do a great job with making you feel safe with their COVID protocols! Everyone is friendly and respectful and are great at carrying on a conversation. I truly appreciate everyone there and I would recommend this orthodontist to kids and adults!!

The faculty was always very kind. The appointments never were super long. Pre-Covid, it was always fun to "guess how much item was in the jar." Would recommend to any and all people. You won't regret choosing this orthodontist

This is a very well run office, they were always able to get us in for emergencies, and had plenty of spots open for routine visits. We'll be bringing in the next kid soon!

Dr. Welton was my orthodontist 20 + years ago and I'm still wearing the permanent retainer he put in back then! It was definitely the most affordable option for me at that time and now 20 years later still is the most affordable option for my kids. Their office and staff are laid-back and friendly and I'm really happy with the results I've had from Dr Welton's work as our orthodontist.
