Unless you are willing to lose $275.00, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. After arriving only 3 minutes late for my brothers appointment, we were surprised to be greeted with a cold and rehearsed refusal of service. When we asked them for a refund of our deposit at the very least, the receptionist hit us with the classic statement of, "No, we are actually losing money by holding your reservation." I would argue that the reason they are losing money is because Gregg would rather collect an easy $275.00, than to do the procedure. I would rather have watched that money go down a toilet, at least that way I would be getting some entertainment watching it go round and round.

Service was rude do not recommend. Appointment was at 8:00 and check in was at 7:45 wich i made on time. I was there for my wisdom teeth to be pulled out. I was asked to have a ride there waiting for me for when i get out of surgery. My ride was parked at a different parking lot and by the time he got to the right location it was 8:00. Note i was the only one allowed inside their Facility and my ride had to wait outside. So since my ride was not there at 7:45 when i checked in they said they could no longer see me. I would either have to pay $250 to Reschedule or find a someone els.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr Walsh. He failed to remove all of one of the 4 wisdom teeth. 2 months later a large piece of tooth emerged from under her gums where it had been left, painful, and infected. 1/2 of my daughters mouth and tongue are still numb. Terrible terrible experience ALL AROUND! Do not use this dentist. He is negligent, rude, unprofessional, I cannot believe he is still in business.

I was referred here from my dentist for my wisdom & molar extractions. The receptionist is an absolute WITCH customer service was NEVER her life calling. I came from over an hour away for an appt. at 3p I called to say I would be a little late. I arrived at 3:05p and the receptionist wasn't rude she was underbred & abnoxious. And "allegedly" the doctor refused to see me. I drove over an hour to be treated like riff raff. I made sure to let my primary dentist know about my experience. She is no longer referring her patients here anymore because of this incident.

I had an awesome experience getting my wisdom teeth out here! The staff was great and Dr. Welsh made me feel super comfortable even though I was super nervous for the procedure! Pain afterwards was only for 3-4 days and was super manageable with the pain meds. Definitely recommend this office!

I went today to see Dr. Welsh for the second time. He was as friendly and professional as the first time. Sadly, I cannot say the same about the receptionist. She did not greet me, which I understood since she was doing phone calls. My mother came into the office and tried to greet her, but she did not even acknowledge her. Then apparently while I was getting worked on with Dr. Welsh, she told my mother to "get out and wait in the car" (in Spanish). My mother simply ignored her rude and unprofessional demand and simply sat quietly in the lobby. We understand covid restrictions and the policy is to wait in the car, but that is no way to speak to another person. If she had at least made an attempt at being polite (or even bothered to explain the policy) my mother would have waited in the car. This interaction really soured our mood and ruin what would have been a perfect experience. Dr. Welsh is a professional and respectful person; the other staff members i interacted with were also professional. The woman at the front desk is another story. I would still recommend Dr. Welsh to anyone in the Santa Barbara area, but beware of this lady. Don't escalate things with her as she clearly dislikes dealing with people, despite being her job.

An utter pain! I was referred here by my dentist after cavities began forming in my wisdom teeth. Already upon arriving the assistant at the desk was very cold, very short tempered. During my visit the doctor told me I would have to have it done at Cottage Hospital due to underlying potential risks, which would come to 250$ out of pocket. When I asked the desk assistant if I HAD to, she quickly snapped at me saying "YES. The doctor says you have to have it done there. Is that a problem?" I told her that yes, it was a problem. I'm working part time for 12$ an hour (my store is now closed due to COVID-19) and I don't exactly have 250$ lying around. In response she shrugged and said "oh, well you can go to some OTHER office, and maybe they might be able to help you." I find out recently I'd actually have to dish out 320$ out of pocket for one of the extractions that insurance won't cover. That was frustrating but I couldn't do much so I called them to ask how to move forward (you have to pay them first before anything, and only then will they begin the process). I was told that in order to pay with debit or credit there is ANOTHER FEE of 25$ on top of 250$ for the hospital and 70$ for an extraction! Meaning I have to go, in person, and pay in cash unless I want to end up paying 345$!! This is utterly ridiculous! Unfriendly office with heavy prices and an impossible navigation in order to get the damn surgery done. I haven't even gotten my teeth out yet!

When I went to get my wisdom teeth pulled today I just asked him a question and he gave me an attitude. Then he stopped, and then I found out that he is impatient. If he is that rude, I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

I wrote a thorough review on his Facebook page that got deleted due to the high volume of bad reviews. It was a horror story. Just to summarize and touch on the basics. When I said I was nervous the day of the procedure, he said ok well you can leave and we can not do this. I woke up during the procedure trying to communicate the pain I was feeling. After he tried to deny this until I repeated word for word the conversation between he and his assistant. Four years later I still have permanent numbness in part of my face. THERE IS NOW ANOTHER ORAL SURGEON WHO TAKES MEDI-CAL IN THE AREA. His name is DR. JERRY MERRELL. He has an office in LOMPOC and SOLVANG. He is simply AMAZING, polite and good at good at his work because I had no pain after the first day of having four teeth extracted. He won't try to make you do stuff your insurance won't cover.. He won't make you get non affected teeth taken out. I highly recommend him. Dr Welsh should not be practicing anymore.
