Dr. Palmer joins us from Scarborough, Maine, where she was raised and currently resides.Dr. Palmer attended the University of New England where she earned her undergraduate degree in medical biology and discovered her interest in dentistry. After graduating in 2015 she attended dental school at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine.
Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Palmer continued on to a one-year advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) residency program at Togus - the Maine Veterans Affairs hospital in Augusta. During this time she was able to gain additional patient experience and education as well as hands-on experience with different procedures across multiple dental disciplines.
Dr. Palmer prides herself on comprehensive care in order to give everyone the healthy and beautiful smile they deserve. When Dr. Palmer is not in the office, you can find her enjoying Maines mountains, beaches or finding new restaurants to try with friends and family.
Dr. Rutter is a native of Spencerport, New York. After graduating cum laude from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2005, he completed a General Practice Residency program at Cleveland Clinic. After his training Dr. Rutter moved to New Hampshire and practiced as an associate in Bow for a number of years before opening his own practice in Durham. Recently, Dr. Rutter made the decision to bring his fifteen years of experience to Wells.
When Dr. Bryan RuDusky made the decision to retire in 2020, he chose Dr. Rutter to continue the high level of care offered at The Dentalcare Inn. Now known as Wells Dental, our focus is to carry on the personalized, quality dentistry that patients have come to expect from Dr. RuDusky.
Dr. Rutter is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maine Dental Association, and the York County Dental Society. He is a former President of the Great Bay Study Club, has taken multiple Spear courses, and has accumulated over 500 hours of continuing education credits.

I never thought the day would come when I would say that I love going to the dentist but I really do. Everyone is so kind and caring. It's really the best dental office in my opinion!

I love coming to wells dental! Always super friendly. I asked all about the equipment and how the x-ray machine worked and Krista gladly nerded out with me for a couple min. Dr. Rutter loves to talk about his plans for the office, and how he is going to make it awesome, for example the artwork in the lobby; make sure to ask the ladies at the front desk about those. I never feel shamed for neglecting my teeth for over a decade. Heck I may even start flossing regularly who knows. Excellent place, thanks again! The picture is for you krista haha.

Friendly, warm, and comfortable. I live in Maine but work out of state each day. Wells Dental is able to provide early morning appointments, a huge benefit for me. I'm currently working on a second crown in a short period of time. The experience has been wonderful and pain free. I highly recommend them :)

I feel very confident in the care I receive from the staff at Wells Dental. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My concerns are always met with respect, and they always put my mind at ease. In my opinion, they are the best of the best.

To say I was pleased with my initial visit would be an understatement. My attitude went from dread to delight!! Who says that after a dental appointment?? From Tina at reception, the hygienist Krista and finally Dr Palmer, I was treated with the utmost respect and gentleness! I had some issues and they explained all my options and we came up with a plan. And the frosting on the cake is that they are just a couple blocks from my house!! Am so glad I found you!!

It's always a pleasure going to the dentist at Wells Dental. My hygienist, Krista, and the Dr are personable, friendly, and thorough. The rest of the staff is excellent too! I would leave more stars if I could!
