Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Steven Payne received a bachelors degree in finance and economics from BSU. He began practicing dentistry in Meridian after his graduation from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2007.
As a dentist and member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Payne aims to provide the best oral healthcare for his patients and help them feel completely comfortable in the dental office. He consistently completes continuing education classes to help him achieve these goals.
Dr. Payne and his wife, Lyric, have been married since 1998. Together they have one son and two daughters. In his spare time, Dr. Payne enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and participating in family activities. Dr. Jonathan Pluid is an excellent general dentist who enjoys all aspects of cosmetic, surgical and restorative dentistry. He received his Bachelors degree from BYU-Idaho, graduating cum-laude. After college he attended Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry. He graduated with honors as one of the top clinicians in his class.
Dr. Pluid was born and raised in Idaho and is excited to call the Treasure Valley his home. While growing up he was an accomplished athlete who among other things won the individual Idaho 3A wrestling championship. When not at the office, Dr. Pluid enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family. He met his wife Jennelle in college and they have been blessed with two beautiful daughters and a wonderful son.
Following dental school, Dr Pluid has consistently pursued continuing education. He has received additional training in dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, and IV sedation from Whitecap Dental Institute. Dr Pluid strives to stay up to date on the latest dental advances to provide his patients the best oral care.

Top Notch experience. Family level amazing!!!! Not once did i feel uncomfortable, or anxious. Id like to thank the whole team for there human kindness and empathy. Also there sense of humor. This is going to be an experience thats not going to be the most pleasant. Just glad these folks will be on the journey with me.

I had the best experience when I went to Wellpoint Dental. I'm the type of patient that you would call "High Maintenance", I call it "Doing Your Job." The hygienist (Brittany and Matt I) did all the little things like, suck the spit out of your mouth so often so it doesn't feel like you're drowning. They were always making sure that the patient was comfortable. I am terrified of needles and Dr. Pluid made me feel so relax by getting to know me when we first met that it took my mind off of it. And it really didn't hurt. I would recommend them to anyone they're great people and it is hard to find a good dentist these days.

We love this dental office and Dr. Pluid. We switched dentists due to issues with customer service. Wellpoint Dental has far surpassed our expectations. The administrative staff, dental assistants and Dr. Pluid have ALL taken the time to be friendly and caring as well as professional. I highly recommend Wellpoint Dental.

Beyond pleased and happy with my experience at this office. I walked in for the first time and the receptionist greeted me by name. (Very impressed) Our hygienist Jolene was awesome. She was very patient as my daughter talked her ear off and crowded her space to watch what she was doing while she cleaned my teeth. Jolene was so good explaining things to her that when it was her turn in the chair she was, so excited. Dr Pluid was also so great. He was so friendly and personable taking the time to chat about random things before the exam. It is so refreshing meeting medical professionals that take interest in getting to know their patients and care. I felt very at ease with the office. Dr Pluid and Jolene took the time to answers questions I had about my teeth and my daughter's and explain things thoroughly. They weren't pushy and laid out my options for treatments. I would highly recommended Dr Pluid and his staff for anyone needing a dentist.
