Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Steven Payne received a bachelors degree in finance and economics from BSU. He began practicing dentistry in Meridian after his graduation from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2007.
As a dentist and member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Payne aims to provide the best oral healthcare for his patients and help them feel completely comfortable in the dental office. He consistently completes continuing education classes to help him achieve these goals.
Dr. Payne and his wife, Lyric, have been married since 1998. Together they have one son and two daughters. In his spare time, Dr. Payne enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and participating in family activities. Dr. Jonathan Pluid is an excellent general dentist who enjoys all aspects of cosmetic, surgical and restorative dentistry. He received his Bachelors degree from BYU-Idaho, graduating cum-laude. After college he attended Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry. He graduated with honors as one of the top clinicians in his class.
Dr. Pluid was born and raised in Idaho and is excited to call the Treasure Valley his home. While growing up he was an accomplished athlete who among other things won the individual Idaho 3A wrestling championship. When not at the office, Dr. Pluid enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family. He met his wife Jennelle in college and they have been blessed with two beautiful daughters and a wonderful son.
Following dental school, Dr Pluid has consistently pursued continuing education. He has received additional training in dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, and IV sedation from Whitecap Dental Institute. Dr Pluid strives to stay up to date on the latest dental advances to provide his patients the best oral care.

Awesome experience. I believe this is one of the better dental locations in the valley. The doctor was amazing. The staff was helpful and very knowledgeable with my insurance. There was no pressure and was able to provide me with options. The doctor took his time and was considerate when it came time to pull my tooth. I recommend this office. Thanks again.

They are the best. Dr. Pluid takes his time and explains everything. Everyone is so nice and their work is superb. I have quite a bit of work that needs to be done, but they prioritized the work. I left feeling great. I know exactly how much my insurance will cover, what procedures can wait and which should take priority. I have never left a dentist office feeling, "I can do this!" I would highly recommend Wellpoint Dental.

I chose this location based on proximity to me and I lucked out! The entire visit was perfect, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I was originally scheduled to come in November but was able to come in early for a cleaning. I highly recommend this location.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to leave my dentist of many years and switch to Wellpoint dental. I not only have complete confidence in Dr. Payne as my dentist, he is also a genuinely nice person and a pleasure to see. His assistant is wonderful, and every person there is friendly and welcoming. My only regret is not making the decision to switch to Wellpoint Dental sooner.

The office scheduled us even though Kenneth wasn't a patient. He had an emergency and they worked us in. They were friendly and helpful and weren't resentful of us adding to an already busy schedule! We are leaving our current dentist (Morning Star) and switching to Well Point! Great office and dental team!!!
