Caroline has been with Wellness Dental since 2005, as a Registered Dental Assistant, office manager & insurance coordinator. She is a native San Diegan, who grew up in the East County. She started her Army career in the United States Army as part of the Dentac unit stationed at Fort Irwin, & after her military service she came back to her hometown. Caroline has been with Wellness Dental for over 12 years. She continues to expand her dental knowledge by attending many continuing education courses & prides herself on her broad understanding of each patients unique dental needs. She is full of positive energy & you will always see her with her signature smile. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, kick boxing & taking her dachshund-schnauzer mix, Remy, out for walks.

Mariah was born & raised in Chicago, IL, & has worked in the dental field since 2013. She has gained experience in all aspects of general dentistry & has received additional training in both oral surgery & orthodontics. Outside of work Mariah loves spending time with her son, Jayden, doing all things outdoorsy & dining out with friends.

Lainey became interested in the dental field when she started working in an office in high school. In 2010 she received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene while living in Sacramento, CA, & went on to complete her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from the Oregon Institute of Technology. Lainey is very passionate about lifelong learning & is always eager to learn new techniques & technologies that improve patient care. She focuses on being as gentle & thorough as possible during each visit. She was born & raised in Northern California & moved to San Diego in 2018. Lainey enjoys spending her free time with her spouse at Disneyland, enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather at the beach & playing with her two mini dachshunds, Mina & Twitch.

Adrienne is a native of Napa, CA. Her father was a dentist & during summer vacations in high school & college she would work at his dental office filing charts, sterilizing instruments & developing x-rays. In 1998, she moved to San Diego & began her dental career as a Registered Dental Assistant. She worked as an RDA for a year before being accepted to dental hygiene school at Cerritos College in Los Angeles. She was in L.A. for two years & after receiving her degree in dental hygiene, Adrienne could not wait to move back down to San Diego. She has been here ever since.

When not at work, Adrienne enjoys spending time with her husband, their two kids & their labradoodle, Chewie. As a family they love to go fishing & watch baseball games. In her spare time she enjoys reading, crafting & collecting beach glass.

Arlene earned her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene & Bachelor of Science in education from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Originally from New Jersey, she moved to San Diego 20 years ago from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. As a technical sales representative with a dental materials company, she taught continuing education courses on cosmetic dentistry. During her 20+ years of practicing, she has worked in several specialty dental practices but has called Wellness Dental her home for 10 years.

Arlene offers a holistic approach to oral hygiene. Her vast experience in dental health allows her to help patients obtain optimum oral health with kindness & care that caters to individual needs & lifestyles. She enjoys working with patients of all ages from young children to senior citizens.

Chau earned her bachelors degree in Sociology at University of California, Santa Barbara. While an undergrad she Tahitian danced & studied abroad for a year in Australia. In 2004, she earned her Dental Hygiene degree at USC, where she served as class president & was awarded the Century Club Leadership Award & Dental Hygiene Leadership Award. Chau has remained academically active & up to date on the latest dental procedures & technologies. She regularly attends continuing education conferences & seminars. Her top priority is to provide the highest quality dental care with a gentle touch.

After graduating the University of Southern California, Chau practiced in Beverly Hills for several years before getting engaged & moving up to the Bay Area in 2006. While in the Bay Area she took up tennis & played singles & doubles competitively. She & her husband moved to San Diego in 2010 & she has worked for Wellness Dental since then.

Vanessa was born in the Philippines & moved to San Diego, CA, in 1984. Shes been a dental assistant since 2002 & she got her certification at UEI college in Chula Vista, CA. Vanessa strives to learn something new every day about the dental field & to help patients be more educated about their oral health. Vanessa loves to spend time with her son, Jordan. She enjoys bowling, going to the beach, hiking & trying new restaurants with her friends.

Timothy L. Carpenter, DMD, has established himself as one of the most caring & skilled dentists in Poway. His passion for dentistry & strong ethics truly show in the way he treats his patients & team. He takes great pride in his work & strives to make every patient feel comfortable during their visit. This has earned him a reputation of being gentle, detail oriented & compassionate.

Dr. Carpenter was born & raised in Oregon, where he also completed his undergraduate & dental education. After completing a residency in Idaho, he & his wife moved to California to be closer to family & enjoy all of the wonderful outdoor opportunities the state has to offer. He loves serving his patients & would be happy to meet with you to help you achieve your dental goals.

After graduating magna cum laude with Honors from the University of Oregon, Dr. Carpenter went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with Honors from the Oregon Health & Science University. While in dental school, he served as the student body president & earned the Outstanding Student Loader award from the American College of Dentists & the Great Interest & Accomplishment award from the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. Rather than entering immediately into practice, he chose to complete an additional year of post-doctoral training, enhancing his skills in all aspects of general dentistry, including surgical & cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Carpenter continues to dedicate himself to advancing his skills by completing hours of continuing education coursework & advanced training every year, with an emphasis on implant & restorative dentistry. Dr. Carpenter is also a strong believer in giving back & has done volunteer dentistry abroad in the Philippines & numerous free dental care events in the local community, including San Diego Stand Down & Give Kids A Smile.

Outside of doing dentistry, Dr. Carpenter loves spending time with his wife, two children & their dog. He loves hiking, photography & exploring all the outdoor recreational opportunities California has to offer.

Sophia C. Gile, DDS, brings energy, compassion & exceptional skill as a general & restorative dentist to our La Jolla, CA, dental practice. She has established Wellness Dental as one of the premier dental implant centers in Southern California. While many practices have to refer patients out for various stages of the dental implant procedure, which adds time & expense to the treatment, Dr. Gile is able to perform every stage of implant dentistry at Wellness Dental.

This is only one of many traits that distinguish Dr. Gile. In addition to her mastery of a comprehensive range of treatments, from dental crowns & bridges to laser periodontal care & root canal surgery, she is a true philanthropist, eager to donate both her time & her skills to those in need. She travels the world, visiting countries such as Nicaragua & Mexico, where she provides free dental work to those who do not have access to advanced general & restorative care. She was also, along with her family, instrumental in starting & expanding the Believe Walk for the Cure, an event that raises funds for cancer therapy.

Dr. Giles benevolence extends to her treatment of her patients as well. She is known for her sympathetic chairside manner & pleasant, upbeat personality. Her innate love of humanity shows through in the natural rapport she is able to establish with families, including the very youngest of patients.

Dr. Gile earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Point Loma Nazarene University here in San Diego. She then proceeded to attend the prestigious Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, CA, where she completed a rigorous four-year program & attained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

During her training, she received several honors & awards; most notably, she received the Award for Outstanding Achievement, Clinically & Academically, in Implant Dentistry from the renowned American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

In order to remain current with the latest developments in cosmetic, general & restorative dentistry, Dr. Giles participates in hours of advanced training & continuing education coursework each year. She integrates what she learns into her primary areas of professional focus, which include full-mouth reconstruction, fixed & removable prosthodontics, implant dentistry, extractions, Invisalign orthodontics & laser dentistry.

Dr. Giles passion for dentistry & passion for helping others are expressions of her passion for life in general. When he isnt providing outstanding dental care to patients or advancing his knowledge or the knowledge of others, Dr. Kim can probably be found enjoying the company of his wife & four children. He loves to relax by taking leisurely walks with his family & his golden retriever. Occasionally, hell hit the golf course or take advantage of his proximity to the beautiful Pacific Ocean by learning to surf. He also enjoys playing tennis, spending time with friends & listening to music.
