Dr. Pringle is excited about dentistry and strives to provide the best quality services you can find anywhere. Dr. Pringles background in the arts like watercolor painting, charcoal drawing, acrylic painting, sculpting, and oil painting give him a great foundation to provide functional and beautiful dental work. With his undergraduate education in Neuroscience and a Doctorate in Dentistry, he has a deep pool of knowledge to draw from and realizes that he has a unique position as a dentist to see a wide range of people with all sorts of different health histories, and to make sure that each patient has a personalized treatment based on their health and needs.

Growing up, Dr. Pringle had a very big fear of the dentist. This first hand knowledge of what fear and anxiety at the dentist feels like led Dr. Pringle to take a residency in Moderate IV Sedation, Pill Sedation and Laughing Gas anxiety relief. Many fearful patients are now able to take that first step towards their dental health and gain back the trust in a dentist that was stolen from them years ago. Any treatment can be provided with a SAFE sedation technique and patients can experience what anxiety free dentistry is really like. Many patients soon find themselves only needing Laughing Gas for procedures that they would have earlier needed a heavy sedation to withstand. Trust is paramount, and Dr Pringle and his staff will help you feel that trust again.

Dr. Pringle not only does traditional dentistry like white fillings, crowns, bridges and root canals, he has expanded his education over the years and is able to provide his patients with a wide range of services, all under one roof.

Dr. Pringle is always staying abreast of the latest tech in dentistry and strives to keep his office modern and his skills sharp. But the most important thing to know about Dr. Pringle is that HE CARES. He will take the time to get to know you and your kids (ask for a balloon animal). He wants to know about your horrible dental experience, so that he can avoid any similar experiences. He will see you if there is an emergency on the weekend. He wants your teeth to be healthy and he wants to see a smile on your face.

You may be familiar with the traditional method of getting crowns. Its a two to three week process of getting the impression made, having a temporary inserted, and finally fitting and placing the permanent crown. If the crown doesnt fit just right, the crown is returned to the lab and the procedure starts all over again!

Fortunately, dental technology has changed all this and our patients in Wellington, Colorado can enjoy CEREC, same-day crowns. With Wellington Family Dentistry, your CEREC dentist in Wellington, you can now have a perfect-fitting crown that looks natural and functions like a real tooth. With CEREC technology, our Wellington office can create a permanent crown in just a few minutes!

Using the CEREC in-house computer-aided design system, we can mill and produce the crown with astonishing accuracy and speed. No more waiting and return trips to the dentist. The entire process takes only about an hour and a half. You no longer have to endure the time and inconvenience of an impression, a temporary, or a second visit; and the crown is cosmetically perfect and functionally satisfying. Dr. David Pringle stains and paints each crown to your unique tooth characteristics. He is an accomplished artist in his own right and applies his skills and aesthetic eye to create a perfect crown for you.

The restoration begins with a special HD scan of your teeth; then it is shown on our computer screen. From this image, Dr. Pringle designs the crown and the CEREC system creates it, perfectly. The new crown is bonded to the surface of the tooth and the procedure is completed.

A childs proper dental hygiene begins in infancy. It is important to know that tooth decay in small children can advance very rapidly, so it is important that you give them proper dental care beginning in their infancy.

Did you know that tooth decay is the most common chronic childhood disease? Tooth decay leads to infected or abscessed teeth, causing them severe pain and resulting in lost sleep, missed school, and possible visits to the emergency room. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has set the standard of asking all parents to create a dental-aware home for their child(ren) by no later than 12 months of age. By making visits to a dentist early in their lives, your children will become used to seeing the dentist; it will allow you to keep any teeth that might have cavities from becoming too far decayed, and it will help to keep you, as the parent, abreast of important dental hygiene needs.

Before you put your infant to bed, we recommend that you wipe your childs mouth with a damp cloth to remove milk, juice or any other sweetened liquid that will leave a residue on your childs gums, resulting in early tooth decay. Do not put your child to bed with a sippy cup or bottle because this will leave a sugary residue on their gums or teeth. The sugars in the formula, milk, or juice remain in contact with the babys teeth for many hours during the night or naptime, and this can cause rapid tooth decay.

As soon as your child begins teething, establish the practice of brushing twice a day. This will instill good dental habits into your childs routine. Start by using a toothbrush with soft-bristles. You can start with just water or toothpaste that does not contain any fluoride. You can begin using fluoride when your child is old enough to spit. Water contains different levels of fluoride depending on where you live, so we recommend that you consult with Dr. Pringle to determine if an added supplement of fluoride is needed for your child.

As you might expect, being patient while teaching your child to brush is important. They may throw a fit and cry when you try and brush their teeth, but be patient and gently persistent and you will prevail.
