Dr. Wellik was born and raised in north central Iowa. He earned his B.S. degree and D.D.S. degree from the University of Iowa. Upon graduating from dental school, he completed a year-long general practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Temple, Texas. He has practiced dentistry in Austin since 1987.
Shelly joined Dr. Wellik's team in 2005 and received on-the-job training to become a registered dental assistant. She can now be found running the front office. Often the office clown, she grew up in a small Texas town and moved to Austin in 1996. She married her high school sweetheart, Rodney, and they have a daughter, Reily who is now in college. When not working, she likes to keep fit with HIIT training and relaxing with her husband.
Stephanie joined Dr. Welliks team in 1996. She grew up in Texas and Illinois and has lived in the Austin area since 1993. Stephanie and her husband, Chris, have two children and a miniature Schnauzer, Roxie. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and attending UT football games.
Jessica was born and raised in Killeen, TX and moved to Austin in 2017. She moved with her husband Jeffery shortly after finishing dental assisting school. They have 1 fur baby, Jaxon who loves going for long walks. When Jessica is not working, she enjoys hiking trails, watching Netflix, and cooking.
Celeste is a native Texan that grew up in Kingsville. She does not have children but is dog mom. She went to dental hygiene school at Delmar College in Corpus Christi Texas! Graduating top of her class and receiving the Colgate star award. She enjoys kayaking, fishing, and hunting! Also supporting Texas longhorn baseball! Hook'em!
Caprice is the newest addition to our dental family. She is a 4th generation native Austinite. She graduated in 2012 from the Dental Hygiene program at Austin Community College. She is a compassionate hygienist who takes pride in providing her patients with a comfortable, positive dental experience. She often times serenades them unwittingly. She is a calm spirit that enjoys the outdoors, trying new foods, and traveling.
