At Wellesley Family Dental, our primary goal is to provide the best dental care possible. We are a family friendly, general and cosmetic dental practice thats built around the patient experience while maintaining our focus on oral health and patient education. Our staff members are friendly, excellent communicators, and here to assist you with your dental needs. Our team is lead by Dr. Moskowitz-Porath along with Dr. Brittany ChickandDr. MelissaKnudsenwho use the latest technologies including digital X-rays, intra-oral cameras, PrimeScan - CEREC, CBCT technology and advanced dental products to help you maintain a beautiful smile.
Dr. Moskowitz-Porath received her Bachelors of Arts from Brandeis University in 1990 and in 1994 she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from University of California in San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry.
In addition, Dr. Moskowitz-Porathcontinued to do advanced dental training in a general practice residency earning a Certification in Hospital Dentistry in 1995 at VA Sepulveda Medical Center.In 2003, she received a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Boston University School of Public Health.
For 18 years Dr. Moskowitz-Porath was an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of General Dentistry at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine teaching dental students in a clinical setting. She has been awarded many faculty and teaching awards over the years. She served as the past president of the Charles River Study Club.
Dr. Moskowitz-Porath, known for her warmth, compassion, and thorough approach with patients strives to put each patient at ease with her sincere, friendly chair-side manner and honest treatment approach. She views her practice as an extension of her family and focuses on providing personable, quality care. Dr. Moskowitz-Porath enjoys treating children to adults and prides herself on making the experience at the dentist a positive one.
In her spare time, Dr. Moskowitz-Porath loves to spend quality time with her husband and five children. She enjoys going on long runs with her rescue dog, doing Zumba classes and baking for the family.
Dr. Chick graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a degree in Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2011. Skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. As a dental professional, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for my patients. As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in me. That is just one reason why I value each and every patient relationship.
Following graduation from dental school , I began my career by decidingtoserve our country as a Lieutenant in the US Navy for four years. While serving in the Navy, Dr. Chick received several awards and commendations for her exemplary service and outstanding dental care. Stationed with the Marines in both South Carolinas low country and southern California during her 4 year tenure, Dr. Chick enjoyed taking care of Marines and Sailors dental needs.
Since then, she has established herself in private practice in the greater Boston area.Dr. Chick takes pride in addressing her patients specific dental needs and goals in a comfortable and relaxed setting. Patient education, developing an ongoing trusting relationship and providing patients with the most enjoyable dental experience possible are the main reasons she loves being a general dentist.
A Massachusetts native, Dr. Knudsen grew up in Needham and graduated from Needham High School. She then attended Boston University, where she received her undergraduate degree in biology, and continued on to attendBoston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She graduated from dental schoolwith honors, earning her doctor of dental medicine degree in 2013.
Over the years Dr. Knudsen has practiced dentistry in several MetroWest communities, and she is excited to put down roots so close to home at Wellesley Family Dental. Dr. Knudsenunderstands that patients have many dentists to choose from, especially in this area, and she cares for each patient in the way she would treat her own family. She enjoys getting to know her patients personally and prides herself on being a kind and trustworthy provider, and person.

I have been a patient at Wellesley Family Dental for over 4 years. My elderly Mother and adult Son have also become patients of the practice. The office is beautiful, modern, state of the art, clean and easy to get to and park. The staff is kind, caring and responsive. They have always taken me on time and have done a wonderful job caring for my teeth as well as educating me on how to better care for my teeth and gums at home. The hygienists are gentle and thorough and the dentists are wonderful, kind, patient and gentle. They have needed to refer me to several other dental professionals for various needs (orthodontist, periodontist, etc... and even the dentists they have referred me to were absolutely great). They are fair and honest and have always been responsive in fitting us in when a dental problem arises. I would hightly recommend Wellesley Family Dental to anyone of any age. It is great practice with talented dental professionals and a caring staff.

Dr. Moskowitz was very patient and the staff explained every step of the teeth whitening process. I was very happy with the outcome and it looked great. The office also gave me steps to keep up the whitening once I got home. I would highly recommend Dr. Moskowitz. She is warm and friendly and her years of experience really shows.

I dread going to the dentist... have never had a dentist I really liked, for many reasons. Today's visit with Wellesley Family Dental was fantastic, easy and, dare I say it? Nice!!!! I was relaxed because of their friendliness, detailed explanations of potential issues, and bolstering of what they think I'm doing right!!!! No guilt... no feeling badly about myself because I'm not perfect.... Just kindness!!! Highly recommend!!! And, I will look forward to going twice a year now!!! Thanks!

I had a very pleasant first visit at Wellesley Family Dental. The office is decorated in an attractive modern industrial look, with nice artwork on the walls. Lauren gave me a great cleaning and new/different advice on my home care regimen/equipment, which is very helpful. She was efficient, thorough, and didn't ask questions when she was actively working in my mouth, which is always very awkward to try and answer during a cleaning. Dr. Knudsen is a fantastic dentist, and I look forward to my next visit and future treatment here.

Everyone from front reception to my hygienist Lauren and Dr. Moskowitz-Porath were great. They are very friendly, informed and informative. They answered all of my questions. My wife and two teenage sons visited a month prior to my visit and both Lauren and Dr. Moskowitz-Porath remembered them. I love the personal touch!

I had a sensitive tooth that had been bugging me for years after a filling, and 2 previous dentists could not find the problem/resolve the sensitivity. The tooth began really acting up the last couple of days to the point of half my face aching terribly. Dr. Moskowitz-Porath was meticulous and systematic in isolating the problem and carefully explained everything she was testing and doing. So impressed, and so glad to have found this practice!

This place is the best! I drive over an hour to go to this dentist and it's worth it. The office is always extremely clean and also newly renovated. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. It is also a family run business which is a huge plus in my eyes, they take the time to get to know you.

The entire staff at Wellesley Family Dental is exceptionally kind, accommodating, and truly have my best interest at heart. I was referred to their practice after going to Waltham Family Dental, where my roommate and I both had a somewhat negative experience--I've never dreaded the dentist until needing a root canal during a global pandemic. I was beginning to accept that at dentist visits, dental issues may not be fully explained, I'd be rushed through procedures, and I'd feel more like a mouth than a patient. Wellesley Family Dental changed all of that; their philosophy is very apparent in how they explain every step of the process (great for adults, not just kids), treat the mouth as a unit and one that the patient should have the ability to maintain (e.g., the teeth are the best shape for flossing), have a conservative approach (saving money and pain), document the patient's dental health extensively, and just overall practice unmatched empathy and competency. Dr. Moskowitz-Porath, hygienist Lauren, and the front desk staff have saved me so much stress and turned my mouth around after two other practices let me down. I can't recommend them enough.

Thank you and the entire staff for providing a relaxing and comfortable environment. I truly appreciated the constant communication about what was happening during the procedure and what to expect.
