As a local to Western Washington, Angel has always called the Pacific Northwest home and loves the Eastside. She currently resides in her new Snoqualmie home, but was a previous resident of Kirkland. Angel is one of our newest employees, but we knew IMMEDIATELY that we wanted her to come work with us full-time when patients commented on her gentle touch. From the first day, we have heard nothing but wonderful things about her!
She speaks very quietly at work, but we have sources telling us she is an avid hockey fan and gets carried away yelling at the injustices on the ice. While we have seen her bust out some sweet dance moves at work, she swears that she doesnt like to dance.
Newly wed, her husband, recently took her on a romantic tropical honeymoon where she refused to snorkel. Even with 4 types of life preservers, she questioned her swimming skills and inability to fend off a shark attack. Please feel free to ask her about this experience.
We refer to Mel as the glue that holds the office together. Her confident and quiet steadiness helps us all maintain a sense of calm throughout the day. Her skilled work with children and anxious/fearful patient are amazing!
Melanie grew up in Redmond, WA and, while she looks like she is 15 years old, she has been assisting since 2008; she has been here since 2014. She sits next to Dr. Wellborn all day, so, naturally, she has a good sense of humor. If you want to be entertained, ask Dr. Wellborn to tell you some fun facts about Mels life.
She loves to pet and/or house sit. While she typically takes care of dogs and cats, her dream pet is a turtle. She is an avid swing dancer, hiker, and camper, even though she wears toe-shoes every day to work also (we think she has multiple pairs). Mel loves Thai food and gluten free pancakes (not together).
Jen has worked in dental offices throughout the Sammamish and Issaquah areas for the past 25 years and is semi-retired. She spends a few days a week with us to help keep up with insurance paperwork and enjoys the time she gets interacting with patients. Jen is a great resource for financial questions and helps with scheduling.
When Jen isnt here, she can be found on the golf course or spending time with her kids and grandkids. Her laugh is infectious and she usually has some great life experiences to share that keep us all cheerful on the days she is here.

Finally found a dentist who focuses on patient's best interests and doesn't try to sell or recommend unnecessary services. And the nurses and front desk staff are so nice and compassionate. Everyone has a great sense of humor and make the experience fun. I recommended to a couple of friends and they are happy too. Highly recommended!

Dr. Wellborn and his staff are amazing. I have a very low pain tolerance and have had bad dental experiences in the past. Dr. Wellborn is very gentle and always remembers my history. We moved and I will continue to drive the 45+ minutes to see him!

I arrived in the office and was greeted by the receptionist at the desk. My cleaning went well, and Dr. Wellborn reviewed the x rays and the cleaning and I was on my way. Great service.

The staff and the dentist are very friendly and gentle! My wife and kids also go here and we even drive 30 minutes to see him because they are the best in the area!

The Wellborn Team are very personable and friendly. Been seeing Dr. Wellborn for almost a decade or maybe its already been over 10 years. I don't live in the city where his practice is, he is worth the drive!! I highly recommend Dr. Wellborn Family Dentistry!!!! :)

I love this practice! They are all so nice and competent. But the best thing is that they don't try to 'sell' unnecessary services. I take good care of my teeth and have no problems with them. But I left my last dentist because after every visit she would tell me I should replace crowns because of their age. It was always something so that I never felt like I'd trust her recommendations. Dr. Wellborn is totally trustworthy. I've been there 3 times for cleaning and checkup and have had no problems with any of my teeth. And he didn't recommend any work be done. So now, if he told me I did need some work, I'd get it. It is very important to be able to trust your dentist.

My first cleaning appointment was pleasant. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm welcome. I provided my insurance information and was taken back to meet the hygienist promptly. After the cleaning, Dr. Wellborn introduced himself, made me feel important and comfortable while reviewing my records. He answered my questions and offered advice regarding future care. I made my next cleaning appointment six-month in advance. I referred my husband to Dr. Wellborn. Most important I did not feel pressured during the appointment.

I have been going to Dr Wellborn for a few years now and really enjoy him. Doctor Wellborn and his staff are just the best! Always friendly and lively! Dr. Wellborn is thorough, never out to upsell you one expensive treatments. I would categorize him as very conservative when it comes to the work done in teeth. He treats what needs to be treated, addresses concerns, listens and is an all around great doctor. He's great with kids too!

I have been going to Dr. Wellborn for almost 5 years and have had a number of dental procedures during that time. I highly recommend him. He is extremely competent and conservative in his approach. He offers alternatives and recommendations that make sense. In addition, he is a genuinely good and decent person. I would recommend him to my closest friends and family.
