For over four decades, Dr. Marc Welge and his predecessor, Dr. Brian McGarvey, have been helping Iowans love their smiles! We understand what you are going through. Almost all of our staff (and their kids, too) have done orthodontics in our office. We are now seeing the children and even the grandchildren of our former patients.
Our flagship West Des Moines office has been conveniently located in the same place for over 40 years. During that time, we have grown to include office locations in Norwalk, Winterset, Creston, and Perry. During the last 40 years, the world has changed. So has our orthodontic practice. New advances help to make orthodontics more efficient and more comfortable. We are continually updating our technology and techniques to stay on the cutting edge of the best advances in the profession. However, the commitment to exceptional care of our patients and their families has remained our uncompromising top priority throughout the years.
Start to finish what a great experience! We knew the total cost upfront, so there were never any surprises! The doctor and entire staff were all very friendly and helpfulnot to mention my daughters teeth look amazing!

Dr. Welge and his orthodontic staff are the best of the best. We have been patients here for many years for multiple kids. The kindness, care, and concern shown for patients is top notch and my kids have always felt comfortable here. Dr. Welge explains things incredibly well and presents great information to help make the best decision for what our kids have needed. I wouldn't trust my kids' orthodontic work to anyone else! Highly, highly recommend.

Dr. Welge and his staff are excellent, kind, and patient. I have had multiple children and myself treated here. Dr. Welge takes the time to discuss his thoughts and plan of action, and cost of service. There were several options for treatment plans and Dr. Welge discussed the pros and cons of each, gave recommendations and patiently answered ALL of my questions throughout the process. A great experience all around!

Dr. Welge and his staff are top notch. All three of my children have been treated with the highest standards of orthodontic care! One of my sons was a very complicated orthodontic case. This team is patient and kind, they all went above and beyond for him. They got to know our three kids personally. Dr. Welge even delivered retainers to our front door!! Thank you for all you do, Dr. Welge and team. You are providing the best in patient care and orthodontics!

Wow. Awesome staff and experience. I was recommended to Dr. Welge by some relatives who had some orthodontic with him. I had an issue with a permanent retainer. I called the office and he got me in super fast and fixed the issue. Incredible experience.
