In 2008 he completed one of the most rigorous continuing education programs in the dental industry, and earned the designation Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD). The designation is reserved for only a select group of dental professionals who complete the structured and demanding set of requirements involving all dental disciplines. These are two of the highest academic honors a dentist can achieve after graduating from dental school. Notably, Dr. Liu also completes nearly 200 hours a year in continuing education. Courses that involve intense training such as the Intravenous Sedation Residency and Bell Leadership, the world recognized training program for executive education and development.
Many believe that being a dentist involves only professional health care and occupational responsibilities. However, to be a successful dentist, Dr. Liu feels that one must be clinically excellent for his/her patients, an astute business manager and leader for his/her team, as well as an individual who gives back to the community he/she serves.
Dr. Liu met his wife Karen in dental school. They have 3 sons. As a father, Dr. Liu strives to be a role model to his children. Dr. Liu enjoys attending his sons athletic and scholastic competitions and other events. The family also enjoys family events and traveling together.
Dr. Patel completed her undergraduate degree in 2013 from Augustana College located in Rock Island, Illinois. After this she decided to continue her education at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated in 2016. During her schooling, she gained a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Endodontics.
Dr. Patel fell in love with dentistry because of its ability to mold together technology, science, and art. Dr. Patel uses the latest technology to provide patients with functional and esthetic results. She enjoys taking continuing education courses each year to stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry to provide patients with the best possible care.
Dr. Patels goal is to build a lasting relationship with every patient. She wants them to be involved in every aspect of their dental care, so that together they can achieve a beautiful and healthy smile.
Dr. Patel moved to St. Louis after school and currently resides in the St. Peters area. Having grown up in Central Illinois, she enjoys the small-town feel and family-oriented atmosphere. In her free time Dr. Patel loves to spend time with her fianc, travel, cook, bake, and try new restaurants. A fun fact about her is that she has made it a goal to visit all 50 states and she is already well on her way!

I am never going back here again. The only thing that I like about this place is how quick they are with the service, but this is a double-edged sword. The first time I came, I could not floss a few of my teeth because they did the fillings wrong. I came back and they only fixed all but 1 of the areas I could not floss. The fillings feel like they took so much real tooth out and barely made the effort to mimic my natural tooth structure. They also gave off rudeness like they didn't want to be there. Even though the last place (that took Medicaid) I went to was extremely slow with getting anything done, at least they were accurate, and I don't feel like I have any lasting consequences from what they did. The people I used to go to were also a lot nicer to me. I'm definitely not returning here, though

We had such a wonderful experience. We were having trouble with our previous dentist office(refusing to fix a painful tooth on my daughter or scheduling prior to the appointment without payment first). We found Weldon Springs based on a review in a local moms FB group. When calling the office staff was wonderful, Jamie was nothing but a pleasure to talk to and schedule with. They got both my kids in in the same day and the week of. When we went in they were also wonderful and were happy to fix my kids teeth. I warned them my daughter would freak and wanted me back there, she always has after being held down at the last dental office. Turns out they were able to numb her without me, all because the dental assistant talked to her and was so comforting! It's a night an day difference in how she likes the dentist office and how she acts. We will continue to go to this office! The front desk and all the staff are AMAZING!!!

Was referred to the Weldon Orthodontics by Accent Dental. Called and told receptionist I was referred to see an orthodontist she asked questions and set an appointment for the next day. After driving 30 min I was then told because I mentioned my daughter's teeth was impacted the receptionist took it upon herself to schedule me for a dentist appointment instead of what I initially asked for and Not one time did she mention this on the phone. I only gave four stars just so the review could be seen. I would hate to think the way this situation was handled is a reflection on the dental work done at Weldon Orthodontics.

I just wanted to give a huge shout out to this dentist office. Today was my second visit to this office and when I entered the front door I was greeted by very friendly staff. Everyone was so nice from start to finish. The office is very inviting and fresh. I did not have a long wait at all. The hygienist was very professional yet calming at the same time. She did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth while explaining each step. The dentist was also very professional and calming too. I am very glad I made the move to this dentist office.

I would give 0 star if possible. Never coming back, I remember my niece had to get her teeth clean one time, took them 30 mins to have a "room" just for cleaning. They never inform their patients about their wisdom teeth or any other problems found until months or years later. My niece wasn't aware of her wisdom teeth until she was 18 years old. Moving on, on the day of their wisdom teeth removal, it took her over 2 hours just to wait for a "room." By the time she got in, it took them another 1 hr just to start numbing her. I was infuriated because after she was numbed, Dr. Lu cut her open and left her bleeding for a least 10 minutes or more. Who knows, my niece could've lost a lot of blood just from that. Very unprofessional. And during the procedure removing her wisdom teeth, Dr. Lu had the audacity to pull my niece's head just to angle it in a better position to "pull" out the wisdom teeth. I've gotten my wisdom teeth pulled out before and never seen someone in so much pain while getting their wisdom teeth pulled out. My niece later told me she felt every single thing that was happening, she felt the pain from the cut, she felt the pain from getting her teeth pulled. This dental place is going downhill, very negligence of their patients. Should stop accepting new patients and over scheduling patients.

Truly a great team. My child loved their care so much I'm willing to travel almost 4hrs for them to be her primary dental care. The atmosphere is kind and inviting. The care is precise and they explain everything to you. Any out of pocket expenses they will work with you to cover.

Absolutely love this dental office. They did our two children's wisdom teeth removal several years and both were so pleased with the results. Minimal pain, no opioids needed, and they healed quickly. Yesterday my husband went there and they developed an excellent treatment plan to address a couple of issues, including fixing a tooth lost to an accident. We were both very impressed with their friendliness and professionalism.

Dentist came into room of 18 yr old daughter. Did not introduce himself, speak to her about her fillings, the procedure or anything. Gave her the numbing shot and walked out. She could hear the ladies in the office all chatting amongst themselves but no one acknowledged her, checked on her, or attempted to see if she was doing alright. We left.

The absolute best dentist office EVER!! Front office staff is amazing always friendly and very helpful. Dental hygienist and dentist very professional answers all questions and gives great advice. Before you check anywhere else call Weldon Spring dental I always recommend them to everyone.

Weldon Springs begin with smiles when you enter their foyer and continues with the hygienist. Not only friendly but professional with exception attention to detail. This professionalism extends to the dentist and her attention to detail and the health of your teeth and mouth. Highly recommend.

Took my daughter there to get 2 baby teeth removed. They used the numbing jelly and told her it wouldn't hurt. They pulled them both out as my daughter said stop. She was crying and in pain. They didn't even make her feel better. No offer of suction- I had to ask them to suction. Horrible experience for a child! My daughter struggles with the dentist now. Don't take your child there!

The hygiene team at Weldon Spring Dental is amazing! Jenny was punctual and thorough. There was no wait time to get in the chair, and she checked her worked when she was finished to make sure nothing was missed. She also cleaned my sons teeth (3) for his fist visit and was so patient with him. He felt super comfortable with her, which is so important! Dr. Patel is an awesome dentist. She explained things in detail so I understood all of my treatment options. She is super knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Amazing experience, I have a 5 week old that had to come to the appointment with me and the office let me slip in the side for my baby and I to avoid contact with people. They were quick and efficient with the work that I needed to have done and made sure to accommodate me even when I had to pause to breast feed! I wish my husband's insurance was also accepted here. Highly recommend this amazingly friendly and professional office. <3
