After earning his D.M.D. from the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, Dr. Weldon was accepted into the General Practice Residency, one of the premier GPR programs in the nation. This year-long advanced surgical residency program focused on specialized training and honing skills in specialty dental services, including dental implant placement, oral surgery, and advanced restorative techniques.
Dr. Weldon has lived in the Rome area for over 10 years with his family. He feels connected to the area he now calls home and passionately cares about his community and the quality of services he provides. He always takes the time to introduce himself to patients directly and will never shy away from answering any questions that a patient may have in regards to their oral health.
At Weldon Dental of Rome, one of our top priorities is to make sure that our patients never feel unsure, confused, or anxious prior to treatment. We want to address any and all concerns they have, help them understand why we recommended a treatment, and let them know how they will be benefiting their oral health by investing in care. For over a decade now, Dr. Weldon has provided comprehensive dental care that helps his patients feel welcomed, informed, and confident. One of the most enjoyable aspects of his job, and a driving force in beginning his dental office here in Rome, is getting to know people from the local community. Throughout the treatment process, Dr. Weldon loves to build relationships while also exceeding his patients expectations for a healthier smile.
Dr. Weldon was led to the dental field by an innate desire to help others, as well as a love of problem solving and being able to use his hands directly on projects. An artist at heart, once he started looking into oral healthcare as a possible career, he realized just what a perfect fit it was for his strengths and passions and he still feels that way all these years later.
After earning his dental doctorate at the Medical College of Georgia, where he finished in the top 25% of his class, Dr. Weldon was accepted into the MCG General Practice Residency program, one of the most competitive and premier programs in the country. During this time, he learned advanced techniques and skills beyond the scope of the traditional four year dental program. He was taught by some of the best dentists in the field to place dental implants, utilize bone grafting, provide IV sedation, and perform a variety of advanced oral surgeries and restorative techniques. Years later, he still pursues continuing education on both a local and national level in order to keep expanding his skills. He especially enjoys focusing on the transformative power of restorative dentistry and dental implants.
Dr. Ryan Weldon is originally from Ringgold, Georgia and is the third of four boys. Between his father (a retired physician), his younger brother (a dentist in Ocala, Florida), his wife (a pediatric dentist here in Rome), and a few uncles and cousins, he is one of seven Dr. Weldons in his family!
Youll find Dr. Weldon spending most of his free time with his family. He and his wife Leigh have two young sons who currently love LEGOS, fort building, bike rides at Berry, getting mud on their shoes, and collecting good sticks.
On the weekends, you can find Dr. Weldon on the golf course (one of his favorite pastimes), working out with friends at CrossFit Rome, grabbing a great cup of coffee at Swift and Finch, or teaching Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Rome.
As our talented dental office manager, Harley loves interacting with patients and being able to earn their trust over time. She wants everyone to feel 100% confident that their practice will treat them just like family! She also has some pretty great coworkers who make coming in every day a genuine pleasure.
Originally from Cartersville, Harley has a husband named Brian and two children named Blair Reese and Brody Ray. The last two members of their family are a kitty named Elsa and a Lab named Chase. Some of her favorite hobbies include doing yoga, hiking, weightlifting, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes, and getting away for the weekend with loved ones at Lake Weiss or in the mountains.
Lindsey and her husband Tobin currently live in Rome with four dogs and several chickens. In their spare time away from work, they enjoy camping, riding four-wheelers, hanging by the pool, paddling the rivers around Rome, hanging out with their nieces and nephews, or simply enjoying a lazy day inside with their gaming consoles. They recently bought some land of their own and are working to build their dreams together!
Candy has been a part of our team for over 25 years so far, and she does an amazing job of taking care of our patients oral health, which leads to better overall health. She loves sharing stories with families and seeing them grow over time!
Candy and her husband David have two children, as well as two fur babies. She really enjoys traveling in her spare time, especially to unique places where she can stay in one-of-a-kind accommodations (tiny houses, tree houses, containers, etc). Staying in a secluded cabin on a mountain in the fall or winter is one of her happy places! She also spends plenty of quality time with family and rides motorcycles.
Keri is a Registered Dental Hygienist with nearly three full decades of experience in the oral healthcare field! She loves being able to help our patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles while also building lifelong relationships.
Keri has lived in Rome since 1994. Her family consists of her husband Matt, her three grown children (Brittany, Maci, and Dastyn), and her two grandsons. As for hobbies, she spends most of her free time traveling. Beach locations are her favorite, but she also loves the mountains and exploring new cities where she can soak up the culture and try plenty of new restaurants!
Kim studied dental assisting at Georgia Northwestern, and shes been working in this field for over 15 years so far. She is an Expanded Functions Assistant as well! What she likes most about her job is being able to help patients have the best possible experience here while also ensuring they feel right at home.
Kim currently lives in Alabama, and she has a beautiful teenage daughter named Bayleigh, as well as a wonderful boyfriend named Tyler. Most of her free time is spent traveling and making memories with loved ones. They live in the country on a small farm with horses, pigs, dogs while also raising Black Labrador Retrievers who are trained for duck hunting. She does photography in her spare time as well!
Autumn has been a part of the dental field for a handful of years so far, with hopefully many more to come! As one of our dental assistants, what she enjoys most about the work is seeing the amazing transformation of each patients unique smile over time.
Away from the dental office, Autumn spends plenty of time with her young daughter Presley and her close-knit family. Some of her favorite hobbies include riding ATVs, drag racing, and doing pageantry for Presley.
