Working with children is one of the most rewarding specialties in the dental profession. I believe that fear of going to the dentist is very real for both children and adults. I want to help children and parents overcome that fear and maintain a healthy mouth for a lifetime. I consider prevention of dental disease my number one priority in pediatric dentistry.
My residency provided me with a very strong knowledge base of pediatric dentistry. We were givenspecialized training in behavior management, oral conscious sedation, caring for special needs patients, hospital-based dentistry, and preventive practices for continued oral health.It is a very important part of my ongoing care to keep up with the latest research and to continue my education in pediatric dentistry.
Turin Black| Insurance CoordinatorAfter being a stay-at-home mom for her two children, Turin turned her love for children into a career, going back to school at Kaplan University, a Certified Dental Assistant since 2012 & now an Insurance Coordinator, she couldnt be happier with her decision. She loves hearing the kids say they love coming to see us. Its great knowing that we can make their dental visits enjoyable! Turin, a native of Maine and an Air Force veteran, loves doing outdoor activities, spending time with her husband & family, as well as baking, crafts & puzzles.
Turin has been with Weeder Pediatric Dentistry since we opened, in July 2013. With all of her dental knowledge & attention to detail, she has become an excellent Insurance Coordinator! She communicates with your insurance company & manages dental claims to help receive insurance payments in a timely matter. After insurance payments are documented she mails out a billing statements if there is a remaining Patient Responsibility stated by your individual plan. Turin is happy to answer any questions you may have with your Explanation of Benefits (EOB), account balance or help bridge the gap between you & your childs dental plan.
When Dr. Greg decided to open his practice, he turned to wife Danelle to manage the day-to-day tasks of running the office. She eagerly agreed, ready to put her past experience to work. Danelle is a licensed massage therapist and had her own practice before marrying Dr. Greg. She has been dedicated to being a full-time mother to the couples two daughters, but now that they are both in school, she is ready to take on this new role.
Danelle is originally from Central City, Nebraska. She studied nutrition and business management at UNL, and earned her Massage Therapy License in Boulder, Colorado. Danelle enjoys cooking, practicing yoga, and learning the art of the flying trapeze. She enjoys time spent outdoors with friends and family, playing golf, sand volleyball, and time spent at the lake.
Jackie grew up in Ralston, Nebraska, and moved to Greenwich, Connecticut, where she worked as a nanny for several years. Jackie moved back to Lavista, Nebraska, to be closer to her family and she worked in sales, customer service, and marketing for 22 years while she lived there. Jackie always missed working with children, and after taking her kids to see Dr. Weeder for their routine dental visit in 2014, it was obvious to her that Weeder Pediatric Dentistry was a special and unique place. Since March 2015, Jackie has had the opportunity to help other kids have the same amazing experience her kids had here. Were glad to have Jackie on our team!
Emma | Dental AssistantEmma has been a part of our team since September 2017, and she loves the friendly environment we have here at Weeder Pediatric Dentistry! Emma completed the dental assisting program at Southeast Community College, and she loves being able to provide our young patients with a fun and friendly experience at our office. She enjoys being around kids and others who love kids, too. Emma is married to her husband, Logan. In their free time, they enjoy hunting and fishing. Emma also enjoys doing CrossFit.
Amanda | Dental AssistantWe had the honor of Amanda joining our team in Nov 2015 Graduated from D.C. West High School in 2008 Became a Dental Assistant in 2010, graduating from Kaplan University. She has a son named Calvin & soon to be husband Marc. She enjoys going out with friends & spending time with family. The best part of the practice is the team she works with. Amanda always creates a fun atmosphere for kids to feel comfortable and that is a great contribution to this practice.

We absolutely adore Dr. Weeder! We had to switch dentists because of a move but the care here is bar none. It's worth the drive for good care so we are returning, I just can't say enough good things about this place.

We've been taking our almost 3 year old to see Dr. Weeder since her first birthday and have had nothing but great experiences. Getting a small child, especially one with big feelings like ours, to sit still and not scream while they clean their teeth, is no small feat. These people are pros! Not only are they good at dentistry, but they are excellent with kids. The way they were able to talk to my child, calm her, distract her, all the things to get through the appointment, is very impressive. We never feel rushed, and Dr. Weeder is so kind and patient with us. He always gives great advice and instills confidence in us as parents who are responsible for taking care of our childrens teeth/oral health and for helping them develop good habits. Our first dentist appointment with her was actually with Walnut Creek Pediatric Dentistry, and it was so bad that we considered scrapping seeing a dentist until she was older. The dentist there didn't even say hi to her before getting straight to business and never introduced himself to us either. The place was cold and not friendly for anyone, especially children. We are so thankful to soon after find Dr. Weeder and his team and hope to be here for many years to come!

The Dentist and the dentist assistants are amazing!! I love them and they are so great with the kids! They know how to make the kids feel comfortable and safe to be able to do the work they need.

We have been going here a few years now. Dr. Weeder is always so great with the kids by taking time to connect with them and ensure they're feeling comfortable. He also helped my daughter in an emergency dental situation which we are very grateful for.

I am an anesthesiologist, and I have worked with dozens of pediatric dentists over the years. Out of all of them, Dr. Weeder is the kindest, most competent dentist I've known. We drive from Elkhorn to bring our kids in. The practice is a warm place that feels like family. Dr. Weeder is excellent with our kids, who have historically been anxious with dentists. I give Weeder Pediatric Dentistry my highest recommendation.

My son fell and hit his teeth at daycare and we went to the ER, and after normal business hours Dr. Weeder was willing to talk to us just based on pictures, he got us in the next day and took x-rays to see the damage when his office is normally closed. Just goes to show how dedicated he is to his patients.

I wanted to set up an appointment for my son since this location is so close to home but I literally called multiple times at different times for almost a whole week, left 2 voicemails and no one ever returned my call. I finally got a hold of someone but wait time was too long.

I hardly ever take the time to leave reviews on anything but I simply love this place! I go to another place for their annual check ups and cleanings only because its super close to my home. However, if my kiddos ever need work done it's a 100% worth the drive to take them to see Dr. Weeder! My boys get excited to go every single time and they've had teeth extractions so thats saying a lot!

Weeder Pediatric Dentistry was top of the line all around. Our son had to have some pretty extensive work done and Dr. Weeder is a pediatric dentist that truly cares about the patient. We highly recommend Dr. Weeder and would gladly take either of our two children for dental work in the future.

Just took 2 year old for first dentist visit. There were so many toys, the whole place is set up fun for kids. Dr. Weeder was so kind and informative and the hygienists were phenomenal with the little kids. Highly recommend! My kiddo would probably go back every day if I let her.

I called on April 20, 2020 to schedule an appointment for my son and whomever was on the phone and told me that I missed an appointment in August with no call or no show. I explained to her that I did not receive a reminder or courtesy call but she insisted to say to it was "my responsibility" to keep track of the appointment. First of all the appointment was 6 months scheduled out and how am I supposed to remember. Like many other places when i schedule a head of time, I receive a courtesy call. The lady should be more respectful on the phone be courtesy about the situation not be so aggressive.

Best dentist in the world!! My two kiddos go here and they do a phenomenal job everytime...We even had to have teeth removed and my kiddo said he didnt feel a thing! The kiddos love going here and all the workers especially Dr. Weeder truly make it a great experience! Thank you all!
