Dr. Lauren was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and grew up in Carmel, Indiana. She attended Carmel High School, where she participated on multiple state champion womens cross country and track teams and graduated in the top of her class. She later received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Indiana University-Bloomington, graduating with highest distinction, and a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Lauren graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2007. Her interest in children inspired her to continue her studies at Riley Hospital for Children. She received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and her Masters Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry. During her residency, she was honored with the Arthur Klein Research Award and the Ralph E. McDonald Scholar Award for outstanding performance. In November of 2011, Dr. Weddell became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Jim retired from his full-time faculty position in Pediatric Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry and Riley Hospital for Children after over 30 years of service! Dr. Jim has published numerous articles and book chapters in dental and medical literature and has lectured on a variety of pediatric dental topics in the United States and South America. Dr. Weddell is an advocate for infant health care and is past chairman and co-chairman of Indianas Healthy Baby/Healthy Mother Coalition. Dr. Jim graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry and completed his pediatric dental residency and post-doctoral fellowship in Cerebral Palsy at Riley Hospital for Children. He enjoys helping children, teaching, and spending time with his family. Dr. Jim is married to his wife, Karen Fischer DDS, and has three daughters, Jami Ross, Nicole Weddell DDS, and Lauren Weddell DDS, and seven grandchildren.

Dr. Nicole was born in Indianapolis and grew up in Carmel, Indiana. She attended Carmel High School. She ran track and cross-country at Carmel High School. Dr. Nicole chose the field of pediatric dentistry because her father, Dr. James Weddell, founder of Weddell Pediatric Dentistry, inspired her. He taught her clinical excellence, hard work ethic, responsibility to community, and the importance of loving your job. She enjoys working with kids and having fun everyday on the job interacting with patients, families, and staff.
Dr. Nicole enjoys working with the Hispanic community allowing her to keep up her Spanish. She lived and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, for one year during college. She traveled to Calnali, Mexico, all four years of dental school to provide dental treatment to needy children. During her residency she travelled to Mexico to provide dental treatment under general anesthesia to needy and medically compromised children.
Dr. Nicole works in private practice and has hospital privileges at Riley and IU North. Dr. Nicole to married to Dr. Sam Tancredi. She enjoys spending time with her growing family- Maureen, Tony, Elise, and Mia. She loves to walk and swim with her dogs, Puppy, Lucy, Lucky, and Bear! Dr. Nicole and her family are loyal IU basketball, Colts, & Pacers fans!

Dr. Jordan grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the Speech and Debate team. After graduation, she studied at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She also participated in an exchange program in the Dominican Republic and studied Spanish while volunteering in the dental clinic with dental students and at a local hospital working with women and children.
Dr. Jordan spent her summers during her college years working at the mall. It was there she met a man who asked if she had ever thought about a career in dentistry. It was a life-altering moment as he turned out to be the assistant dean of the dental school and a lifelong mentor to Dr. Jordan.
She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and participated in dental outreach programs for children in the community, such as Lessons in a Lunchbox: Healthy Teeth Essentials and Facts About Snacks Program in an effort to educate and prevent tooth decay. During dental school, she discovered that if she could start with children at an early age, she could help alleviate their dental fears as well as prevent decay. With that goal in mind, Dr. Jordan received her certificate in pediatric dentistry from Metrohealth in Cleveland, Ohio, and then went on to obtain her board certification in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Jordan strives to create a positive dental experience for children and to establish healthy habits that carry them into adulthood, so possibly we can have children growing up not fearing the dentist but wanting to be a dentist. Dr. Jordan enjoys mission work and has returned to the Dominican Republic since graduating to provide dental care to children and adolescents in need. She is also an avid yogi and plant-based foodie.

I really don't know where to start. There was definitely confusion on which location I should have been at but needless to say being a new patient and the first thing that comes out of their mouth was that they are not currently accepting Medicaid government insurance ... I'm guessing the lady at the desk assumed I was low income Medicaid recipient maybe because i was a minority women instead of just asking about my insurance ... right there i was livid but held my composure . Then to top it all off she says "we would like to get both parents information just in case anything happens... if there is another parent involved".............. since we there at the wrong location , I went ahead and rescheduled the appointment and changed it to this location ... however, after that experience i won't be returning here. So they are accepting new patients but not Medicaid patients ( which I am not, my insurance is through my employer and even if I was I shouldn't have been turned away or made to feel less than) You can't pick and choose which patients you want to serve.

My son, born blessed by Down Syndrome, has been part of the "Weddell Pediatric" family for close to 25 years. It has been an honor for me to trust them with my son's dental care. In all these years, my son and I have been so impressed with their professional, caring and respectful service as well as their very kind staff. I cannot speak more highly or respectfully of Dr. Weddell and her staff.

This was my 3 y.o. son's first time going to the dentist! We did all the "prep" work ahead of time (talked about it, read books, etc) but I was still nervous. Ms. Kara- dental hygienist- made the process so easy. She let my son touch all the equipment and understand how it was going to be used ahead of time. So patient and kind. Would highly recommend! Felt like it was the highlight of the day, and I had been dreading it!

Weddell pediatric dental specialists have always been great with all 4 of my kids. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they get down on the kids level and talk with them about the procedures and cleanings and make it fun for them. My group of kids can be a little chaotic to deal with and they treat me and all my kids with utmost respect and kindness, while maintaining professionalism and direction. My little ones were scared to go, but when they got there they had my five year old excited to get his X-rays. Great place all around! The dental hygienists particularly are fantastic with kids, I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Lauren is very kind, professional, and approachable. My kiddo hit her front teeth at the playground. The office was closed and we contacted Dr. Lauren on her cell. She immediately answered the call, her voice was very calming and soothing to hear as my kiddo and I were both shaken by the incident. The office was very flexible with their scheduling to get us in promptly for an evaluation. Thank you!

We love Dr Lauren and her staff. My son needed 2 teeth pulled and was very scared and worried. Her team made it very comfortable and a great experience for us. They do a great job with kids and have a great process to feel safe withCovid protocols.

Everyone in the office was so wonderful. They took their time with the kids, explained everything they were doing and allowed extra time when it was needed to ease fears. Dr. Jordan is great too!

I love the staff! They always go the extra mile. We drive from Greenwood all they way to Carmel because of the excellent service they provide. As a military family (now retired), they know the protocols and always call/work with us if there's an issue. My oldest is sad that she aged out and tells her younger siblings "You're lucky" whenever they have an appointment with them. Highly recommend.

We are always happy after we leave Weddell! I have 6 kids, two of which have a hard time cooperating during medical procedures. They are always patient and understanding with my boys. I never feel judged or pressured when we are there.

Staff isn't good enough experience. They tell wrong info about insurance coverage and charge you. When I tried to explain their mistake they argue and don't except what they made mistake. Very disappointed their services
