I am originally from San Mateo, my father is a dentist and he is the reason I ended up in this wonderful profession. I always found his office fascinating with all the little burs and gadgets, and as I got older I came to appreciate the great life he provided for our family as well as being present and involved with his children unlike some other fathers I knew who had to travel for work. I decided to become a dentist so that one day I could also provide my children with a happy home and have the ability to dictate my work schedule and be involved and present in their lives with as well, which I am now doing with my son and daughter.

I graduated from San Mateo High School in 1988. I received my BS in Microbiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1992. After two years of working I decided to go back to school, and received my DDS degree from the University of the Pacific in 1998. I have been in private practice since then; my office is located in Los Gatos. Oral surgery was one of my favorite things in dental school, and I have been removing wisdom teeth on my patients since graduating in 1998. The first several years were strictly erupted and soft tissue impactions. I began taking courses and learning how to remove impactions in 2008. I received my IV Conscious Sedation permit from the dental board in 2014 and have been removing impacted third molars under IV sedation up to twenty times a week since then.

My patients really appreciate the fact that they do not have to go to another office, they are already comfortable with me and my staff and it is one less thing they need to worry about. I look forward to impaction cases, placing implants and root canals; for me it is a nice change of pace from placing fillings and prepping crowns. My IV sedation training was taught by Dr. John Wayland. He is an incredible dentist, educator, and good friend who has been maintaining a mobile third molar impaction practice throughout the Bay Area for the last 20 years or so while also teaching sedation and surgery to other dentists. Dr. Wayland brought me into his education company a few years ago as an instructor. The demand for his services has increased, as well as his desire to cut back and enjoy life more. He asked me to help out and take over a few of his offices for him, which eventually led to me doing more mobile third molar cases. Not only do I enjoy impaction cases, but it is a lot of fun to meet other dentists in my area and to be an asset to them. I am excited to begin working with your office and your patients, and I appreciate and value your trust and confidence in our new relationship.
