Born October 1957, Steven Ragan was on a path to help people. Steven spent his younger years doing what all his friends did. He played sports, collected baseball cards, went fishing and dreamt of pitching for the Yankees. One thing did separate Steve from his friends, was a profound interest in the science of life that surrounds all of us. Today we would say Steve was a nerd.
During the next two years, Steven worked on a career in academics and research before deciding to study dentistry at the University Of Buffalo School Of Dental Medicine. From 1982-1986, Steven Ragan was awarded two scholarships and the Glen Leak Oncology Fellowship at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. During his four years at the University of Buffalo, Steven worked as a research associate for the Department of Oral Pathology in the School of Dentistry.
After graduating from dental school, Steven was accepted in the general dentistry residency program at Erie County Medical Center. While studying at the medical center and at the university, Stevens studies focused on dental implants and oral cancer. After successful completion of his general dentistry residency in 1987, Steven entered into private practice in dentistry.
The past years Steven has been on a quest for knowledge that has honed his skills to provide his patients with the best dental care possible. Steven, on an annual basis, attends continuing dental education internationally. Steven Ragan has hundreds of hours of post-doctorate dental education.
