That dream became a reality when he attended the prestigious Federal University of Bahia graduating in 2004. Not long after graduating, he took on additional training in Oral Dental Surgery. Always wanting to further enhance his dental skills, he then earned the International Oral Surgery Certificate through a residency program in Brazil OSID/UFBA.
Once he relocated to the United States, he earned his Doctor in Dental Surgery degree through a top-ranked dental school NYU (New York University College of Dentistry) and decided to practice as a broad spectrum general dentist with an emphasis in Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Having being through dental school twice, his foundation in general dentistry is second to none. He has great ability to provide comprehensive dental care, and to perform complex surgeries with ease. His main goal is to combine his extensive training and practical experience, providing his patients with the most healthy beautiful smile.
Dr. Amarante is a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS), American Dental Association (ADA), Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), and Chicago Dental Society (CDS). Dr. Amarante truly cares about his patients. I have major dental phobia and in the past have only sought out dental work in the case of emergencies. Dr Amarante and staff have made me feel at ease through accommodating my fears and being very gentle. Thanks to nitrous I've been able to have some serious work done and plan to continue with my care plan, for the first time in decades. I can't recommend Way Dental highly enough for those of you with dental phobias!!!

Dr Amarante and his team are life saviors!! They took my child in for an emergency right before closing. He even called to answer questions on his day off. We are so grateful to them!!

The nurses and Dr. Amarante were professional and friendly and did everything to make me feel more comfortable. I am extremely dentist-phobic but really feel this could become my permanent dentist and dental team/staff.

Way Dental and Dr Amarante saved my teeth, my health and made me smile again. Without a ton of detail, it was a long hard road to find a dentist I could trust and it took a lot of research. My teeth were in bad shape and I was on the verge of loosing some of them, I never smiled. I thankfully found Way Dental. Four months later-I smile and I'm healthier. Dr Amarante is everything I wanted in a dentist: extraordinary intelligence, a master technician, uses cutting edge equipment, a problem solver, and a gentle way of working. (most painless shots ever). On top of that, he has the best, nicest staff, lovely office space and great music. On top of that, he and his staff are fine, lovely, honest people who were understanding and cared about helping me through the process. I can not thank him and his staff enough. I'll just smile! So thankful.

I love this place and I've been recommending them to my friends! I started going for a routine cleaning in 2020 or 2021 when most dental offices were closed. The facility is very clean with multiple air filters. The staff and Dr. Andre Amarante are really friendly. I was having headaches, and it was due to grinding my teeth especially at night. I've been using the night guard for months now, and I notice the wear on the guard. To date, there are no more random headaches and no additional wear on my teeth.

I am big on energy and I was really nervous because I have low tolerance for pain. The atmosphere was clean, peaceful, and comfortable. Everyone was professional and helpful. The energy was just positive and I trusted the process! The assistant helped me become more calm. The dentist, he was so kind and made sure he answered all of my questions! I had the laughing gas and honestly didn't feel anything, just pressure of course! Had a very pleasant experience and I can't wait to come back! I drove 1 hour and it's worth it guys!!

Great practice, friendly staff, awesome dentist. They estimated my procedure would take one hour, and I was in and out in that exact time frame. They also told me my out of pocket costs upfront, which I appreciate as not many dentists provide this service.

The reviews are real. This dentist is an Earth Angel. Do not doubt a dentist/oral surgeon can have all 5-star reviews. He has earned them. After having no cavities my entire life (I saw the same dentist from age 4 until I was 40, and had healthy teeth until autoimmune and chemo plus hyperemesis during pregnancy ruined my teeth) and my beloved Dr. Hlousek retired, I saw a series of dental butchers, traumatizing me into no care at all until it became life-threatening. 5 extractions, 5 bone grafts, a root canal upcoming, and after that months of restoration are my current reality. This practice does everything -EVERYTHING- in-house. That is not a thing which can be overstated. I have found other individual dentists I like. But then they want to send me elsewhere to have all the real work done. This is unhelpful to those with dental trauma, constantly being sent to new offices, doctors, staff, practices. Don't let it become cellulitis. See Dr. A. I promise you you'll never look back. He's my dentist for life, now.

Dr. Amarante made my dentist experience like getting a facial at a spa. Not even kidding. Nicest team and he will make you feel safe and comfortable. I have anxiety when it comes to the dentist but this has been my best experience by far and I won't be going to anyone else but him. I can't stop smiling!!!
