At Wauwatosa Dental Arts, we are committed to providing the best dental care possible for patients of all ages. We hope to educate and inform our patients to give them the tools and knowledge to be proactive with their dental health. Our experienced and friendly staff is here to take care of your needs. We believe in practicing the highest standard of dental care, and to that end, we utilize state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Our commitment to the patient is one of the most important aspects of our dental office.
Other dental offices sometimes treat patients as little more than a name on a chart, shuffling them in and out in order to treat as many patients as possible. Our team takes the time to get to know each patient individually, discuss your goals for your smile, and make sure youre comfortable in the treatment chair. When you visit us, we essentially want you to feel like youre visiting a family member who happens to also take care of your teeth.
When deciding which treatment to recommend, money is not a factor to us. Instead of pushing you to get expensive treatments you dont really need, well only suggest the procedures that will help you meet your smile goals. Well also educate you on why we may recommend a particular treatment over another. For us, doing whats right for each patient is the most important priority.
We wholeheartedly believe that you should never have to deal with anxiety or pain just to get your teeth taken care of. Thats why our team members use a gentle touch with all of our services, making sure youre comfortable every step of the way. Our dedication to technology also plays a role in this, allowing us to provide a wide array of high-quality services.
With larger dental offices, sometimes it may feel as if the dentists dont actually understand what its like to live in your community. Rest assured that our team members are all actively involved in the Wauwatosa community. The MACC Fund and the Make-a-Wish Foundation are both near and dear to our hearts, which is why we regularly donate to those causes and do our part to make the area a better place.
For most dental offices, getting cosmetic work done can involve waiting for quite some time between visits while your dentist communicates with a dental lab across town. That is not the case with us! Our dental office is right next door to a dental lab. One of their techs, Tim Cyra, can come over whenever you need a custom-shaded veneer, crown, or any other restoration. Not only does this save you time, but you can trust that the color will be exactly right the very first time.
In addition to following the safety guidelines set forth by the CDC, the ADA, and OSHA, we have recently implemented several new daily protocols designed to keep you healthy and grant you peace of mind during your visits. From wearing additional PPE to disinfecting the dental office more frequently, our team members go the extra mile to ensure everyone is protected.
Dr. Rosen graduated from Tufts University School of Dentistry in 1981 and began his dental office shortly after. He has regularly pursued continuing education as a way to stay up to date with the latest techniques and technologies in the field. He has also been a member of the following dental organizations:
Dr. Rosen spends a lot of his free time with his two sons, his daughter, and his two grandchildren. As for personal hobbies, he enjoys traveling, gardening, playing board games, and watching/attending sports events. He also does his best to swim for at least an hour each day!

Excellent! The staff is very friendly and welcoming when you arrive. After a very detailed exam and some films, Dr. Richard Rosen took a lot of time with me, explaining what procedure was needed and why . He was very patient with further questions and also did some teaching with me about oral care and use of a water pick. I did not feel rushed at all. I had been going to the same dentist for many years but he is retiring, so my search and a recommendation from another source led me to Dr. Rosen and his team. I am very very pleased to have found him, and am sure I will get good care.

BEST DENTAL OFFICE EVER!!! This is my third review of this dental office, as excellence needs to be acknowledged!! My most recent visit was a dental cleaning with awesome Jeanie. Her dental knowledge, technique, and her most friendly demeanor make her an incredible dental hygienist. Dr. Justin was also awesome , as he is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly while doing my dental exam. My previous visits have involved incredible Dr. Zak and awesome Amanda , as well as the other wonderful dental assistants. Kari and the front staff are so very welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. With all the above, this is why this dental office is the best EVER!!!

After long and careful consideration I had four front crowns replaced by Dr. Zak Rosen at Wauwatosa Dental Arts. The old crowns were discolored and my gum line was receding. I have had a of of dental work in the past so I had some fear and anxiety about having this done. However, my past experience at Wauwatosa Dental Arts was very good, as they always strived to make the experience as pain free as possible. In fact throughout the replacement process Dr. Zak and his assistant frequently asked how I was doing and injections were done with kindness and patience. Extra time and care was taken to ensure my gums would be healthy and the new crowns attractive and natural in appearance. The crowns made by Tim couldn't have been more perfect and Dr. Zak carefully cemented them in place, again taking extra time and care with my gums to ensure a healthy procedure. I am thrilled with my new smile! One of my friends recommended Wauwatosa Dental Arts to me and I am confident and happy to recommend WDA to others.

Absolutely love this place. Typically I dread the dentist but everyone is so nice. They are very gentle as well which helps with my anxiety I have with going to the dentist.

The staff is fun and amazing. Since Dr Zak took over, every procedure I had lead to infection, antibiotics, and I even had to have a tooth pulled in order to relieve the pressure and pain from an infection that stemmed from a bad root canal and crown. I had to pay for the crown, then to have the tooth pulled, and now I am having to save up for an implant. My wife had the exact same thing happen to her, so this is not an isolated event or experience. We saw Dr Richard Rosen for decades, and we cannot ever remember getting an infection from his work. It's too bad. We joked about enjoying going to the dentist at one point. This was a few years ago. For Dr Richard Rosen's sake, I hope things are now better.

I always arrive with my two kids, age 3 and 5. The staff is always polite and very patient as my kids move all around the office. Rosen has a sense of humor. The office is always clean and neat. Highly recommend this office!

They were able to get me in same day for a crown that came off while eating. We were able to get a temporary put on in just a few hours. Normally you'd get your permanent crown by the same place that put the temp, but after explaining the extensive work I am currently having done, they agreed to work with the lab all of my other crowns are coming from and work with my primary dentist to get the permanent crown handled. Dr. Rosen really went out of his way to ensure that i was taken care of in a way that made sense for me medically, cosmetically, and financially and I could not be more appreciative of someone going above and beyond for their patient, especially someone who is not local to the city. Also just to note, everyone in their practice that I encountered was nothing but kind and caring and only wanted to do what was right for someone in the unique situation I am in. I'd definitely recommend them if you're in the area looking for dental care whether it be emergency or a primary dentist, as they go above and beyond to ensure a good experience and the outcome beyond what you'd expect!

Came into dental arts after reading they won best dentist in a local paper. Wow what an experience. They go above and beyond. I got a cosmetic make over of my front 4 teeth and Il be honest I was nervous. Who likes the dentist. I may still not be a fan of the dentist but I am a fan of dental arts for sure.
