Infection Control Procedures ensure your safety, and all procedures at our office exceed even the most stringent guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA).
All instruments and handpieces are autoclave steam sterilized after every use and disposable items are utilized wherever appropriate. Patients and staff wear protective safety glasses during treatment. Disposable gloves are worn while treating patients and are never used on more than one patient. Staff members wear masks during the procedures to protect our patients.
All areas that are touched during the procedures are covered with a plastic wrap and changed after each patient so as to eliminate the potential of cross contamination. All surfaces, chairs, lights and units are thoroughly disinfected with a chemical solution formulated to kill infectious bacteria, spores, and viruses before and after every patient use.

Dr. Denise Long finds dentistry rewarding both professionally and personally. Her goal is to educate and care for patients using the latest technology in a comfortable, modern setting. She looks forward to taking care of patients and their familys general dental needs at Wausau Family Dental.
Dr. Denise Long attended the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). She has also completed training for advanced aesthetic dental techniques including veneers and crowns, as well as a certification in Invisalign braces, sedation dentistry and various techniques in whitening.
Dr. Long always wants to provide the most comfortable experience for her patients. She prides herself on always being ultra-aware of her patient's comfort and ready to do whatever it takes to keep them worry-free and smiling.

Dr. Manteuffel is originally from Wausau. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He then went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Manteuffel believes in educating patients on their oral health and is especially interested in cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Marathon County Dental Association. He also is a Board Member for the Wisconsin Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Manteuffel's knowledge about dental health is broad. He has been practicing dentistry for many years. You can rest assured he will give you the best care based on years of experience unmatched in the industry.

Yesterday was my second visit at this wonderful dental office. I have personally worked in the dental field for many years in the Wausau area and Wausau Family Dental has everything a great dental office should have, #1. Experienced dentists and their assistants that truly care about their patients and don't rush through the dental exam.The dentists are detailed, go over and above to make you feel comfortable and don't push services or products. #2 Amazing hygienists who make your dental prophylaxis comfortable, timely but not rushed with care and professionalism. #3 The office equipment and systems used are streamlined and well thought out to assist the patient as well as the staff. **Big plus ,the office is well designed, very clean and organized! #4 The office staff rounds out the whole team and Wausau family dental is truly a team. The front office staff are knowledgeable, confident, super friendly and make your visit streamlined that you get all you need to make an informed decision about your dental care and work with your insurance in a timely manor. I was mostly impressed that my 89 year old mother was also impressed with her visit as the staff made her feel so welcome as a new patient and she reported she had a "Wonderful time with the sweet kids "that helped her the day of her visit and reminded her of her appointment . Thank you all for making us feel welcome and we look forward to our next visits!

All the staff are friendly and professional thery are always ready to assist you with any questions or concerns! my Dentist is awesome and has the greatest personality and he knows what the heck is needed in Keeping your teeth in good Shape and healthy!
