Dr. Saunders started Waupaca Dental Excellence in 2004. His vision is to do dentistry how it was meant to be done, high quality. He is skilled in many aspects of dentistry and enjoys the wide variety of procedures he gets to do everyday. Not only is he able to complete the basic dentistry that everyone is aware of, but he also enjoys placing dental implants and doing large life changing dental makeovers. Dr. Saunders is the dentist/owner of the practice and establishes trusting relationships with each of his patients by truly listening to their concerns, then offering solutions to improve their oral health.
Having lived in Waupaca since 2004, Dr. Saunders enjoys the Waupaca area and all it has to offer. He is an avid runner, has completed several marathons, triathlons and is an Ironman! He basically likes anything to do outside.

Called on Monday morning about a broken tooth and they got me in that afternoon! Amazing and friendly staff. I fear going to the dentist and they made my visit a great one even though I had to have a tooth pulled.

I cannot say enough about this entire group of amazing people! From the receptionist and office manager, the hygienists, assistants to Dr S, WDE is AWESOME!! They are reinventing my smile, keeping my original teeth, and are very caring yet fun, determined yet laid back and address my anxiety everytime! Thank you so much!

We have been going to Dr Steve as our dentist for many years! He takes such great care of our teeth. He is truly a perfectionist and it shows in the high quality of his work. He is very gentle and I no longer dread dental visits. Heather is the person that cleans my teeth. She does an excellent job and is very personable. I always look forward to hearing her stories as she cleans my teeth. This is a top notch incredibly professional dental office. I would highly highly recommend!!!

I recently has two crowns implanted at Waupaca Dental Excellence. Dr. Saunders, Amy, Holly and the rest of the staff were very friendly and professional during my visits. Dr. Saunders explained the process in detail and what I should expect, which helped ease my 'anxiety of dental work'. I would highly recommend this dental office to all my family & friends.

My first appointment was Excellent! Even though I had an unexpected tooth extraction and needed a second day appointment, the Staff and Dr. Saunders treated me like family. I needed a find a dentist quickly before a hip replacement after being away from Central Wisconsin for 10 years. Dr Steve got me in quickly and worked with me to get things done before my surgery. He and his staff are professional and the friendliest businesses office I have ever been in. I use to be scared to death of dentists after a horrible experience with one as a young adult. Thanks to Dr Steve and his staff, that fear no longer exists.

Dr Saunders was recommended to me by my periodontist. He does a great job of helping me keep my gums and teeth healthy. He explains why he is suggesting things I need to do. I highly recommend Dr Saunders and his staff. They are professional and very friendly!
