Dr. Syed believes in a tradition of care, compassion, integrity, and excellence in dentistry. As a board-certified dentist, Dr. Syed graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School, where he received his DMD. Along the way, he earned several scholarships and awards, including the prestigious Frances Best Watkins Award, Dr. Kamlesh Amin award, and Dr. Lina K. Tharp Award, recognizing his clinical excellence, academic standings, compassion for patients, and leadership skills.
Dr. Syed also spent a year doing an intense Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency in New York University, where he trained with pioneers in the field of oral surgery. His training focused on dental implants and treating complicated oral surgical procedures.
To stay current and provide the best and most advanced treatment options, Dr. Syed believes in learning for life and is very active in continuing education programs. He is a member of several dental organizations and study clubs.
Dr. Kassim Bazigranattended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) in 2018. While at UIC, Dr. Bazirgan was awarded with the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Student Award of Merit and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award.
Following his general dentistry training, Dr. Bazirgan completed the Advanced Implant Training Program. Dr. Bazirgan is highly competent in various dental procedures such as implants, cosmetic dentistry, crowns, veneers, root canals, oral surgery, and fillings. Dr. Bazirgans goal is to help people of all ages achieve their most beautiful and healthy smiles, all while in a comfortable, compassionate, and enjoyable atmosphere. Dr. Bazirgan is committed to emphasizing to his patients the connection between oral health and total health.
Dr. Bazirgan believes it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. Thus, he maintains memberships in many professional dental organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Throughout the course of his dental education, Dr. Bazirgan has consistently pursued additional courses through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Chicago Dental Society (CDS), the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), the Illinois State Dental Association (ISDS) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Dr. Bazirgan grew up in different parts of the world such as Iraq, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. He is multiculturally competent and is fluent in English, Arabic, and Malay. He also has some basic French and Turkish knowledge. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with his loved ones.

I got my first visit to family dental. I wasn't sure what to expect going to a new dentist office but im glad I chose family dental the staff was nice and the doctor told me what type of treatment I needed. I was able to get a low monthly payment plan for my deep cleaning. Now my teeth feel really clean. I highly recommend family dental.

Was cut off as a patient because of some rescheduling and missed appointments. Although i take full responsibility for those appointments i genuinely had life happen to me. This last appointment i had covid and my kids didnt call to reschedule i was extremely ill and tried to have a friend reschedule for me the next day and she was told the doctor will no longer be seeing me. Not like me to write a long review but it really bothers me. I recommended my best friend, mother, father, brothers, and my kids who all now go here, and have recommended this place ever since the previous dentist was practicing there. I really trusted dr. kassim. At least a warning would've been nice or charge me for my missed appointments thats fine. However now my kids and I will have to start care somewhere else and unfortunately my family and friends didn't agree with how everything was handled and will be looking along with me. I've also went to this dentist when he practice in mundelin as well. I also only went to him because the other guy dentist made my fathers, friends, snd my face swell up for two weeks. Now i have a messed up front tooth because of it and need to find someone to reverse the damage done with his ugly filling.

Someone referred this practice as a dentist that accepts Tricare. I've been twice now, once for a check up and a second time to have fillings redone. Great experience, I highly recommend.
